King JUSTICE Boss Guide - Like A Dragon Gaiden

By
Jarrod Garripoli

The Coliseum is a big part of Like A Dragon Gaiden, with a good amount of the game’s story taking place there. As you reach Chapter 4, you will start a bigger Substory in the Coliseum, which involves the Four Kings. The first two battles aren’t really anything special, but the third battle against King JUSTICE can be one of the more challenging fights in the game. This page will go over the specifics of the King JUSTICE battle, as well as some strategies on how to beat it.

The fight against JUSTICE is one of the toughest in the game.

How to Beat King JUSTICE

After defeating Brody and Samejima, you can head back to the Coliseum Reception area to start the third match, against JUSTICE. Similar to Brody, this will be a Hell Team Rumble, so you will be pitted against a bunch of enemies, in addition to JUSTICE himself. However, the bigger problem is that both Brody and Samejima will also be in the fight, so you will be facing all three Kings here. Thankfully, Brody and Samejima don’t have multiple health bars, but they still have quite a bit of health, so they won’t go down easily.

They will have the same moveset from the previous battles, though, so you will know what to expect out of them. In addition to the three Kings, you also have a bunch of normal enemies, but they shouldn’t really pose much of a problem at this point in the game. One of the biggest annoyances is the enemy’s Order, which will give them a big heal over time. Depending on which enemy you’re fighting, this can offset the damage you’ve done, especially if you get sidetracked by another enemy. By far, the most powerful enemy is JUSTICE, as he can shoot some lasers that can hurt your team.

Before you start, it’s probably a good idea to check the All Coliseum Fighters page and recruit the cream of the crop. Specifically, you will likely want two healers (Higashi and KATSUWO), as well as a few defenders (Mr. Masochist, Kaito, and Super Guard Machine). The rest of the team should be attackers, but you want to make sure you concentrate on three of them specifically. Those are Chicken Man, Renji, and Keita Kuroyanagi. The reason for this is because of their special Heat Skill. Once you have their Bond fully maxed, the gun they can use with their Heat Skill does a lot of damage.

In fact, you will be using one of those characters as your controllable fighter (Renji’s probably the least useful, due to his bad stats). If you didn’t know, when constructing a team, you can highlight Kiryu and replace him with another of the characters. The Chicken Man might be the best out of the three but know that his health is relatively low, so he’s not going to be taking a lot of hits. Once the match starts, you can either jump right into the fray or run around and let your Heat gauge build up. Once it’s full, you can then use your skill, preferably on one of the three Kings.

(1 of 4) JUSTICE’s laser attacks can do a lot of hurt on your team.

The battle itself isn’t too bad, as it’s more than the time limit that’s the biggest factor for failing here. That’s why it might be important to concentrate on the two non-main Kings and try to get rid of them as soon as possible. This is easier to control someone other than Kiryu, too, since the gun users deal major damage. Even with the ideal setup, it might still take a few tries to get everything in working order and actually successfully the battle. Keep at it and you’ll eventually get it, allowing you to move on to the final of the Four Kings.
