On your way back to the Police Station, Leon will need to stop off at the Gas Station where you’ll face your first obstacle. Your task is to locate the Gas Station Key. Head inside the station and simply walk over to the left side of the room where you’ll see a doorway, follow the corridor along until you reach an open door where you will enter a cutscene.
Here you’ll encounter your first Zombie where you will have two methods to help you deal with them.
Zombies¶

You can shoot at their legs until they start crawling, this will allow you to get past easier.

You can shoot at their head until they die but beware however, this could use up alot of ammo.
Once you’ve dealt with the Zombie, walk around the corner where you’ll see the Gas Station Key hung up on the wall. Now you’ve retrieved the Key, walk back to where the Zombie was and head to the locked door on the left, use the Gas Station Key located in your inventory to open the door and make your way to the exit.
After the cutscene you’ll be surrounded by Zombies, simply turn around and sprint to the police car and head left down the dark alley, following the path until you reach the Police Station.
Once you enter the Police Station, collect the First Aid Spray from the Green boxes to the right and the Handgun Ammo that’s left on the desk, then save.
