Here are all of them, as well as how to select your first Life, how to change Lives, and the basics on choosing which Life is best for you.
All Fantasy Life i Lives
All Lives¶
The Lives are split into three categories: combat, gathering, and crafting. You will start off with the Brand New Life, and play for a very short time before selecting your first Life. Each Life has different equipment, skills, and quests.
All of the Lives in Fantasy Life i are:
Paladin¶
The Paladin is a combat Life which uses a longsword as the weapon. It is described in-game as a shield of the innocent and a sword of the weak. A hero to children everywhere, and a villain’s worst nightmare. The Paladin Life master is Cuna.
Mercenary¶
The Mercenary is a combat Life wielding a greatsword. The in-game description says that a Mercenary should wield sword not for king nor country, but for your own gain and glory. Totally cool greatsword included! The Mercenary Life master is Marcen.
Hunter¶
The Hunter is a combat Life with a ranged bow weapon. In deep forests today, sandy wastelands tomorrow. Seeking prey with bow in hand, a wild soul awakens. The Hunter Life master is Arche.
Magician¶
The Magician is a combat Life. Choosing the magician grants a staff capable of ranged attacks as your weapon. Imagine all your problems, solved by the power of magic! As long as you have your staff, the only limit is your imagination. The Magician Life master is Oz.
Miner¶
Miners are in the gathering Life category and use a pickaxe. What lies beneath the ground? Your pickaxe will reveal all, be it power or riches. The Miner Life master is Meralda. The items that Miners collect can be used by other Lives, such as the Blacksmith, to craft items.
Woodcutter¶
The Woodcutter gathering Life uses an axe. Enter the woods with axe in hand and fell the finest trees. As long as you respect nature, nature will respect you! The Woodcutter Life master is Leela. Woodcutters are tied to Carpenters, since they can use your gathered wood for tools, weapons, and furniture.
Angler¶
The Angler is a gathering Life and uses a fishing rod, perhaps unsurprisingly. Walk the land with your trusty fishing rod! Just don’t come home empty-handed, or you’ll be going to sleep hungry. The Angler Life master is Gramps. Anglers are tied to Cooks, since the fish they catch can be used in a chef’s recipe.
Cook¶
The Cook is a crafting Life that uses a frying pan. Cook delicious homemade dishes fit for a king’s feast! A tasteful Life flavored with the spice of love. The Cook Life master is Cocott.
Blacksmith¶
The Blacksmith is a crafting Life that uses a hammer. What would a Mercenary do without a sword, or a Farmer without their hoe? Life is nothing without Blacksmiths! The Blacksmith Life master is Hammerhead.
Carpenter¶
The Carpenter is a crafting Life that uses a saw. Chairs, tables, homes, and castles; with a saw and some timber, you could build just about anything. The Carpenter Life master is Daiku.
Tailor¶
The Tailor is a crafting Life that uses a needle. Make your mark on the world with extravagant designs and elegant stitchwork. Be the next fashion icon. The Tailor Life master is Sue. Tailored outfits can be used as armor.
Alchemist¶
The Alchemist is a crafting Life that uses a flask. This isn’t magic, nor is it a scam! Alchemists can actually turn weeds into usable items. The Alchemist Life master is Chemmel.
Artist¶
The Artist is an unlockable crafting Life that uses a brush. What is life without art? Through paintings, sculptures, and interior design, an Artist gives color to our world.
Farmer¶
The Farmer uses a hoe, and is an unlockable gathering Life that isn’t available to choose as your first Life. Till the earth and shower your crops with tender loving care. Carrots, onions, and potatoes be thy bounty. The Farmer Life master is Inaji.
Auntie Anne
How to unlock Lives¶
To unlock Lives, you’ll need to head to the Guild Hall to speak to Auntie Anne. You can choose a Life for free, complete the challenges in whichever order you prefer, and it doesn’t matter which Life you start with. It’s all personal preference.
The only exceptions to this are the Farmer and Artist Lives, which are unlocked by progressing the main story and meeting specific criteria.
