Conch Kancho
Description
A subspecies of
Sazae Kancho that uses conch shells.
Unlike Sazae Kancho, they aren’t edible. They bounce
sound around inside their shells and disperse it over a
wide area with their trumpet-like mouths. They were
used to send messages over long distances, but lost
that job to Transponder Snails, so those released have
turned wild. They have developed the ability to confuse
their prey with soundwaves to survive in the wild. Some
enthusiasts still keep them and use them as a means of
communications.
Main Habitat
