One of the big collectibles in Resident Evil 9: Requiem are Files. There are 75 files in the game, meaning you need to do a lot of collectible hunting around each chapter. If you’re trophy hunting, you need to get them. And, if you plan on getting bonus content, getting all the files is a big chunk of your points to spend on cheats and other unlocks. The good thing is you can easily get all Files in a single playthrough. So, if you’re running the game back, or want something on the side, here’s a closer look at how to get all files in Resident Evil Requiem.
All File Locations in Resident Evil Requiem¶
Note the guide is split into different level chapters. The Rhodes Hill map is by far the biggest of the maps with the files, so be mindful of the different lockouts, otherwise you need to go through the entire game again and get them on another run. Wrenwood Hotel File Locations¶

This is the first level of the game. The File locations in Wrenwood Hotel are pretty easy to see. The only one you can realistically miss is the Investigation Report. That starts in your inventory, and you need to inspect it and check the pages to get the file added to your completion. It’s rather sneaky. Outside of that, the rest of the notes are fairly easy to find. The Hotel Pamphlet can be hard to see in the dark, but that’s about it. Wren City Guide is also missable if you walk by the green vending stall and don’t check it.

Rhodes Hill File Locations¶

This is by far the biggest area in the game, and easily the one where you can miss files, because of all the activity and level splitting going on. We’ve noted the locations of each of the Files in Rhodes Hill, along with mentioning the floors and the specific rooms they are found in.
Note that this map splits at different points due to the shared storyline of Grace and Leon at different stages. Also, the level has multiple segments to it. The Nurse area is at the start of the care home, with Leon getting a segment before going back to Grace. Grace then pretty much explores most of First Floor and Second Floor, where you’ll encounter most of these files. When Grace finishes the Quartz quest, the game can transition to Leon’s attic segment, before going back to Grace in the basement. After that, Grace can then do a bit in the Courtyard, followed by Leon’s perspective. The game then ends this Chapter in the Water Treatment Plant.
Note that the Nurse, Attic, Basement, Courtyard,and Water Plant are isolated levels. So make sure to get those before finishing the main quest there. Otherwise you will need to playthrough the game again to get them.

East Raccoon City File Locations¶

The files in East Raccoon City are fairly simple. Though, they can be easily missed as they often blend into the background, or are during busy moments when there’s enemies around. They are often near objectives though, so don’t worry too much about missing them, as they can come few and far between on this level.

Raccoon City Center File Locations¶

Most of the files in here are relatively easy to find. Bar the bug above we mentioned. The only difficult one that you can easily miss that might mess your run up is the one during Grace’s flashback level. Make sure to check the slanted coffin and have a proper look inside. That’s the only file during that level. So don’t worry about getting lost looking for files while it can get tense.

ARK File Locations¶
Almost all files in ARK are on easy to see PC terminals or are safe codes. It should make those file locations much easier to see. Image via Gamer Guides / Capcom
The final level is fairly straight forward for finding the files. Most of them can be clicked on either via sheets of paper in rooms, or via the PC terminals in several of the safer rooms around the map. There’s also two files here that open safe codes in ARK too. The final two files you need are at the final Grace transition scene and you get them automatically.
