When you make it to Chapter 2 of Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you come across the Cloudspire region. This wintery hellscape has quite a lot of key NPC related events and storyline to follow. Some are side quests, while others relate to main story alternate endings. One of the for fun storylines is the Yonder Gang, which awards a unique armor set for the main quest endings, alongside plenty of Red Mercury rewards. Here’s the full guide on how to get both endings for the Yonder Gang story in Wuchang Fallen Feathers.

Yonder Gang Quest Guide¶

To start the quest, you will need to find and speak to Shen Yanping, the Butler of Cloudspire City.

• From the Cloudspire City shrine, proceed through the shortcut into the house opposite the shrine.
  • If not then proceed through the house that’s open down the street and enter the building via the other house floors. From there, go down the stairs and open th shortcut.
• Now follow the backstreet to a ladder and climb up. You can climb up another ladder, where you’ll meet Butler Shen. He will ask you for help retrieving a Wedding Attire.

How to get the Wedding Attire for Shen Yanping¶

To get the Wedding Attire in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, you need to do the following:

1. Go to the street behind the Butler,
2. Turn right and walk all the way down the road
3. Enter the building on the right.
4. Speak to the dude with the antler hat on at the back of the building.
5. Agree to join the gang
6. You can now speak to Mathstick and Glut.
7. Go back outside and up the street to the ladders you just climbed up. Speak with Shen Yanping again.
8. Now descend both ladders all the way down.
9. Now you’re back on the street, look left for some destructible wooden objects blocking the entrance to a cave. Enter that cave and climb or plunge attack down, you won’t lose much HP from doing so.
10. Follow the cave towards the ladder at the end that leads to the Cloudspire Bazaar.
11. Proceed through the Bazaar killing the enemies. At the tent towards the end of the road near when you drop back over to the Shrine is Glut. Speak to Glut and give him the dialogue option you’re part of the gang. Tell him to return to the Yonder Gang. Choosing the other option sends him to The Shaft, which you don’t want.
12. Rest at the shrine and now go back to the Yonder Gang. You can speak to Glut again, and then speak to Shen Jing’an to get the Wedding Attire for retrieving Glut.
13. Go back to Shen Yanping by the ladder and hand over the Wedding Attire.

Using the Wedding Attire¶

With the Wedding Attire handed in, simply continue along the main pathway from the Butler. This takes you to the Cloudspire Palace. When you inevitably reach the palace, get the shrine. From there:

1. Proceed up the main staircase, and take the right.
2. Open the door dead ahead when inside, then follow the corridor around. It should take you left.
3. At the back of the room should be a switch to open the treasure room.
4. Inside is a man and woman talking to each other who will become hostile to you.
5. The small wooden fence in the middle should have a button you can stand on to take the elevator to the top of the palace.
6. When at the top of the palace, enter the throne room to the left. You can speak to Huang Yan and hand over the Wedding Attire.
7. You then get an option:

• If you want the full quest, click Feign ignorance to progress the rest of the guide.
  • Now proceed through to the boss in the Palace as normal, located to the right and down the elevatror from the Shrine. Now complete the Shaft and finish the end of Chapter 2 boss to procveed to Chapter 3.
• If you select Tell of the Butler’s betrayal, then the Butler and the Yonder Gang are killed in the house.
  • Return to the house you first met the Yonder Gang. You will be able to get the Butler’s armour set and end the quest here.

Chapter 3: Agree to Help Heal Shen Yanping¶

When you arrive at the Refugee Camp from Mt. Zhenwu Battlefield shrine, you can find the Yonder Gang by one of the camp areas on the level below the main camp. Inside one of the bigger tents will be both Shen Jing’an and Shen Yanping. You’ll learn that Shen Yanping has fallen ill. To heal Yanping, you need:

• A True Origin Pill.
  • This item drops from the South General Boss inside the Mt Zhenwu Temple area.
    • The area is fairly large so we’ll skip the walkthrough for now, but you can’t miss him since he’s along the main route towards the Chapter 3 boss.
    • When you get the item, you can open a shortcut to the Refugee Camp by following a wooden bridge above where you battled the boss. Take the True Origin Pill to Shen Yanping and you should be able to hand it over.

Now go ahead and defeat the Chapter 3 main story boss beyond the doors at the Altar Gate shrine. The boss is somewhat tough. Huang Jian’e’s quest will help you as a summon here if you need it. With that done, you can now follow the pathway down towards a cave. Ignore the Storyteller for now. Proceeding with him skips you straight to Chapter 4. Go through the cave, and when there’s a fork in the path, turn left to follow the path to the exit. This takes you to the Overlook Ferry Shrine.

Go down the pathway from the Overlook Ferry Shrine, and you should find the Yonder Gang’s Shen Jing’an and Shen Yanping. Jing’an will mention to you they can set off, but he wants his compadres Matchstick and Glut to go with them.

Finding Matchstick and Glut again¶

Depending on which members of the gang arrived at Refugee Camp, you may have to find each NPC in various locations.
If Matchstick and Glut didn’t arrive to Refugee Camp, then you can find their corpses in the following locations:

Matchstick

• If you spoke to Matchstick back in Chapter 2 he is looking for his Granny.
• Matchstick is located in a house in the Cloudspire Outskirts.
• Go to the Outskirts shrine, walk forward then enter the building on the right that’s open. Climb the ladder, and exit out.
• You should see another ladder to the left of the ruined barn opposite.
• Climb that ladder, and then run left where all the monsters are gathering.
• Deal with them, and proceed onwards down the road towards the Cannoneers. Deal with them too.
• Then, you should see a building slightly further down on the left.
• Matchstick is inside there. You will then hear him say he knows Granny is working in the Grotto.
• Proceed to the Mort Grotto Shrine. If you don’t have the shrine, then go to Outskirts shrine again, and descend down and follow the village towards the cliffs. You should come across a small camp area, with one of the those golden blessings on the floor. Drop down to it and it should take you to that shrine.
• Now run along the bridge from the Mort Grotto Shrine, and enter the mine. You’ll eventually come across a large open mine pit area. Part way in you’ll see a Gong enemy, and a few miners clumped together. Matchstick’s corpse will be there.

Glut
If you somehow sent Glut into the Shaft to see the Master, then he would have died with the Mad Scientist, near to where you picked up the Mad Doctor’s Research Notes. In that case, you likely have them already as you can’t miss this section of The Shaft.

If Matchstick and/or Glut made it to Refugee Camp¶

If you had both Matchstick and Glut arrived in Refugee Camp at the start of the Chapter, then you can find them in the Avian area.

• From Refugee Camp, follow the bridge towards where the White-Robed Elder stood by the ladder.
• Take that ladder down into the Avian area.
• From there, get the Avian Dwelling shrine by following that area up the hill pathway.
• With that unlocked, grab the Avian Dwelling Shrine by following the hill downward towards a ladder.
• Keep following the path should eventually take you to a hut by the water you can rest at.
• Now follow the path out of the shrine.
• Turn right and follow the water path.
• It should lead you through the woods. Keep following it till you come across some Skyborn Might flowers. You will get a ladder to release, giving you a shortcut directly above the Shrine.
• From that ladder, proceed along the log’s path, and to the back you should see a small enclosed space with a Leech enemy.
• Kill it, it will drop Glut’s Token. There should also be another item pickup to get Matchstick’s.

With both NPCs accounted for, you can now return to Shen Jing’an

Completing the Yonder Gang Quest¶

With both Matchstick and Glut’s Tokens acquired, you can now speak to Shen Jing’an at the Overlook Ferry.

• Hand over both tokens to Shen Jing’an.
• Now speak to Shen Yanping.
• Go back to the Shrine and rest.
• Return to the last remaining members of the Yonder Gang.
• Shen Jing’an will ask for you to come with them. Let him know you have unfinished business.
• Speak to Shen Yanping again to finish the quest
• Rest at the shrine again and come back. You will get the Butler Shen’s Set and complete the questline properly.

This now ends the tale of the Yonder Gang in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. You now know how to complete the storylines for Glut, Matchstick, Shen Jing’an and Shen Yanping. This is more of a fun storyline for the players, rather than an achievement related storyline.
