Giant Snake Legendary Creatures

Description

The "Giant Snake" iconGiant Snake is a much bigger version of the large adult snakes you find in the Desert and the Jungle areas of the map. Its attack patterns are very similar to those you have already fought previously, albeit stronger and it is a hardier creature.

The creature is located in an interesting location. It guards a few chests, with most rewarding some combination and amount of "Silver Coin" iconSilver Coins, "Gold Coin" iconGold Coins, "Gold" iconGold Ingot, "Silver" iconSilver Ingots, with another chest guarded directly behind the Giant Snake. This requires a "Skeleton" iconSkeleton Key, which you can get from harvesting the boss once it is defeated. Inside, it has a chance to drop a random legendary weapon, such as the The Wyrd, Bessie’s Bow, and the Strangely Familiar Axe (a reference to the Axe Conan gives Rezma of Shem in the trailer), alongside a potential Relic Fragment chest in the corner of the room, which may contain a Fragment of Power.

When you harvest the boss, you will typically get Serpent Poison Gland, "Demon Blood" iconDemon Blood, "Feral Flesh" iconFeral Flesh, and potentially "Reptile Hide" iconReptile Hide, but only if you use a Skinning Knife.

Detailed Location(s)

The "Giant Snake" iconGiant Snake is a world boss, which you can find inside the Seat of the Triumvirate, one of the central landmarks of the "Unnamed City" iconUnnamed City. The boss resides inside the building, which you access via the location of "Warmaster Klael" iconWarmaster Klael, a friendly Giant-King NPC.

Combat Tips

The boss only has one real attack, which is where it telegraphs an attack is coming by opening its mouth. Within half a second, its jaw will snap to its targets position, dealing damage, and likely applying a stack of poison, stacking at 5.

The best strategy here is to bring a shield to block its telegraphed attack, which will also mitigate poison damage. If you do get poison, make sure you have some antidote on you, which you can get from Set shrines by offering them a "Human Heart" iconHuman Heart.

Also, be weary of the Corruption, as the entire building grants Corruption. There are also a few Kobras dotted around the place, which can attack you and add more stacks of poison.
