As you explore the world of Hollow Knight: Silksong, you will come across NPCs that will ask you to do something for you. One of the first side quests that you might happen to discover is Berry Picking, which requires you to find three Mossberries. You might have happened upon two of these prior to even knowing what they were for, but they shouldn’t be all too difficult to find. This page will detail where to start the Berry Picking quest, as well as the locations of all three Mossberries.
Berry Picking Wish Location¶
To start this quest, you’ll need to make your way to Mosshome, a subsection of the first region of the game, Moss Grotto/Bone Bottom. You’ll first reach Mosshome after passing through The Marrow, and will need to traverse this area as part of the story. Eventually, you’ll reach a large room that has some spider’s silk in the bottom right corner. Ignore it when you first see it and climb to the top of the room to learn the Silkspear skill. This is how you destroy those large bundles of silk just mentioned.

Return to that one in the bottom right corner of the room and use the skill destroy the silk, revealing an exit to the right and another going down. Go to the right and you’ll find the Moss Druid there, so speak to them to get this quest. They will ask you to find three Mossberries for them, which will all grow in this section of the map.
All Mossberry Locations¶
There are three Mossberries and it’s possible you’ve already found two of them prior to starting this quest.
Mossberry 1¶
The first Mossberry is in the very first area of the game, where you land after escaping your cell. Make your way through the entire play, to right before the exit, where you should see a path that leads upwards. Take that and it’ll lead you to the northeastern corner, where the Mossberry is hanging from the ceiling.

Mossberry 2¶
The second Mossberry will be located right before the fight with the Moss Mother. Just before you jump over the vertical passage, you should see the fruit hanging high on the ceiling. This one is a little trickier to get than the other one, since you’ll need to use the nearby enemy to get a boost. Lure the flying enemy close to the Mossberry, then wait for it to drop down to the ground. Once it starts moving upwards again, do your downward air attack to basically “pogo” off the enemy and get enough height to attack upward and hit the Mossberry loose.
Mossberry 3¶
The third Mossberry is found very close to the Moss Druid. Exit their room and drop down the hole right next to it. In this room, drop down to the ground and look in the bottom right corner to see a hole that leads to a secret area. There will be a small bug flying around here that has a glowing mouth. Defeat the bug and it will drop the item, which is the Mossberry.

Mossberry 4¶
There is actually a fourth Mossberry, although it’s a little difficult to acquire, compared to the others. In Mosshome, there is an exit on the western side, which leads to a large area with what seems like a bottomless pit and bunch of those annoying flying bugs. However, right by the exit, if you drop down some ledges, you’ll reach another area and eventually a lift that goes all the way down to Bone Bottom. Make sure you activate this before going after the Mossberry, in case you do fall.
From where you first saw the lift, go to the right, across some platforms and to an isolated floating platform right before the eastern exit. Wait on this platform and you’ll eventually see a similar flying bug to the third Mossberry, moving below you. Do the downward stab move to hit it, then try to keep doing it until you defeat the bug. The Mossberry will fall to the ground way below, so pick it up when you land.

Berry Picking Wish Rewards¶
Your main reward for completing this quest is the Druid’s Eye Crest, which will replenish your silk a tiny bit whenever you get hit with it equipped. You only need three Mossberries to complete the quest, but speak to the Moss Druid after finishing to learn you can bring any extra to trade for Rosaries, the main currency for Silksong. For each one that you bring back to the druid, you will receive 50 Rosaries.
