The Lost Fleas: Find 5 Flea Locations
The Terrible Tyrant - Skull Tyrant Boss Guide
The
Rite of Rebirth is one of the wishes that players can miss in Hollow Knight Silksong. Players will need to take the
Twisted Bud from the far reaches of the Bilewater region all the way back to Shellwood. If you do that, you can get a secret wish, which will put you in a cursed state and start the Rite of Rebirth wish. However, you have two choices. Do you go for one of the secret endings, or do you try to complete the Rite of Rebirth Wish in Hollow Knight Silksong.

Once you’ve handed over the Twisted Bud to the Greyroot NPC in Shellwood, you now have a choice to make:
- Complete the Rites of Rebirth Wish
- Go to the final boss of Act 2 to get an ending.
While you are under the curse effect from the Twisted Bud, you are eligible for a bad ending. Simply go and beat the last boss in the Cradle and you shall get an achievement.
That said, it’s not that simple. While under the cursed effect in the Rite of Rebirth wish, you will not have access to tools and crests except the Crest of the
Witch, which you are defaulted to, and cannot use any silk to heal and you lose access to your tools too for the time being. So, be aware that it is a challenge. The special move is to heal from your attacks though, so it’s not all doom and gloom.
That said, you are still cursed for the entirety of the Rite of Rebirth wish too. This comes to actually completing the Wish.
How to cure yourself in the Rite of Rebirth Wish¶
Head to Bellhart and speak to Pavo for a lead. Image via Gamer Guides / Team Cherry.

When you wake up from your twisted curse, you’ll find yourself in a sub-region of Shellwood called the Temple of the Witch. This area allows you to explore, and reach areas that were previously inaccessible to you earlier. You can open a shortcut above to the center of Shellwood, and finally open that skull door that leads to the Marrow. There are some things to collect around here that were previously unobtainable, so it’s worth exploring the area.
- To get a move on, you simply need to make your way to Bellhart. There should be a thin creature wearing a bell and a white robe in the village called Pavo. Speak to Pavo for a clue.
- Now you need to go into the secret bell area underneath the Bellhart area.
- Go into the bellway area, then go right from your beast friend into the wall to find a secret area.
- Go down the bell area knocking down new pathways.
- You are looking for a creature called the Bell Hermit. He should be down in the platform area, and then towards the left pathway in a pipe near to where you find the last jumping platform leading upwards. Speak to him, and you get new leads.
- Now, the next lead is to go to the Greymoor region. To head here, you need to go to the top left of Greymoor, above the first big tower area on the left.
- Simply climb up the tower, where the scissor enemies are. Keep going, then find a pathway into the wall on the left side.
- This route takes you to a bell home, which you can interact with. Map Marker
- Speak to the door, then speak again and you should be let in.
Yarnaby & Infestation Operation¶
(1 of 3) You need to go and find an NPC called Yarnaby, who you can find over here. Image via Gamer Guides / Team Cherry.
Inside is an NPC called Yarnaby, who will tell you that she can cure you, but it will require another Wish. Here you get the
Infestation Operation Wish, which will require you to get and fetch some items.
- The lead you get is to find two characters called Krull and Benjin.
- You can find them at the twisted cage room in Sinner’s Road. In the room you need to enter the platform towards the Sinner’s Road bench you need to repair - if you recall? Here’s a link to our Interactive
Map if you need more ideas. Map Marker - You can find them in the top right of that room.
- Enter the building they hide in and speak to them.
- You will learn they have the
Steel Spines you need, but they cost 260
Rosaries. Make sure you get that much or snap some necklaces and charms in your inventory to get the rosaries you need. If you need to farm rosaries, the scissor people in Greymoor are fairly simple to kill and get you a fair few rosaries if that makes it easier. Alternatively, go and farm the creatures around the
Cogwork Dancers for a decent amount of Rosaries per kill. - When you have the money, you can buy the Steel Spines, and once again return to Yarnaby.
On your return, hand them over, and she will cure you. Doing so will complete both the Infestation Operation and the Rites of Rebirth Wishes.
Rewards¶
In terms of rewards for these two Wishes, you will unlock the Crest of the Witch. This is the moveset you were just playing with, which has a more controlled pogo, and a repeated run attack, which will heal you from your attacks. Furthermore, the Crest also comes with two tool slots for each tool type.
It’s also worth mentioning that the curse being lifted means you get your silk spool back and can heal again. So that’s a nice feature back in your hands.
