Once you beat the main story of Pragmata and roll the credits, you will see that there is a bit more of the game left to play. Not only do you unlock some new outfits and a harder difficulty, but there is something else called Unknown Signal mode that becomes available on the main menu. Choosing this will place you right before the final boss, and it will open up some extra things you can do that enables something special once it’s all over. This page will detail what you have to do to start Unknown Signal, as well as give tips and tricks on some of the new content.

Unknown Signal is unlocked after completing the main story for the first time.

Unknown Signal Explained

Basically, when you select Unknown Signal on the main menu and choose the completed save file, you will return to the Shelter and pretty much get started on things. Cabin will mention that there’s an unwanted visitor present and you can go to the Hidden Chamber. The Hidden Chamber is just an extra stop now on the tram, so whenever you’re ready, travel to there to begin. Upon arrival, you will see some sort of big Cabin and it’ll explain what’s going on here.

The lowdown on this mode is that there are ten sim pods in the Hidden Chamber, which will open when you do specific things in the main game’s areas. Other than one pod that opens right away, the others require you to either get 100% collectibles in the various areas, or defeat a stronger version of a previously-fought boss (final boss isn’t included). Whenever you open a pod, you will then have to complete a short challenge, similar to the Training Simulations, and grab some rewards at the end of them.

(1 of 3) Each of the Sim Pods will require you to defeat a harder boss or 100% a sector to open it.

Note that once you start Unknown Signal, you will need to complete the first Sim Pod that opens before you’re allowed to visit any other area. It’s not particularly difficult, but you can’t go to any other area to clean up until you do it. To fully do things here, you have to complete all ten challenges to open the central room, where you will get a Mod, two Outfits, and a new weapon.

Unknown Signal - True Ending

The ending you got for completing the game the first time isn’t the only one in the game. In order to get the True Ending, you will have to finish up the Unknown Signal mode and get the Mod from it. Equip this Mod and tackle the main story’s final boss again to get a different ending sequence.
