Obtained by defeating Guangzhi, a boss near the Outside the Forest shrine.

Light Attack: Moon Dance
Continuously slash at the enemy with spiralling blades ablaze, flames dancing across the sky like a full moon, building up Focus.

Heavy Attack: Moon Chase
Unleash a series of dash attacks. When at full Focus, Dodging in any direction and following it with a Heavy Attack performs a powerful new move.

As the feral flurry intensifies, with each fierce thrust, the flames do rise.

Transform into a wolf guai and inflict Scorch Bane on the enemy with each attack.

Moon Roam
Each talent level moderately increases the Damage of the next attack after a Perfect Dodge.

Unlocked when you defeat the Man-in-Stone at the end of his questline. A full walkthrough can be found in our guide here.

Light Attack: Earth Shatter
Strike the enemy three times with your heavy head, each blow more painful than the last.

Heavy Attack: Mountain Splitter
Dash forward with full force. Fully charge to dash further, ramming all enemies in your path.

Spell: Rockfall
Build up full Focus to unleash this spell. Leap high and smash into the ground, causing a large Area of Damage with a shockwave of earth and stone.

From azure dust, a rock guai stands robust.

Transform into a rock guai, immune to all Four Banes. It builds up Might when hit.

Steadfast
Each talent level moderately increases Defense.

Obtained when you defeat The Third Prince at the end of a multi-chapter side quest. A full breakdown can be found in our guide here.

Light Attack: Chop Wood
Swing the iron blade three times, building up Focus with each hit.

Heavy Attack: Blow Fire
With full Focus, hold Heavy Attack to unleash this skill, exhaling a scorching wave that continuously burns enemies ahead. The longer you hold, the fiercer the flames become. Dodging will not waste Focus built.

Spell: Fiery Burst
Release this Spell to self-explode, causing area Damage and De-Transforming simultaneously.

Blow forth flames where ash is laid, for days of glory soon shall fade.

Transform into a rat guai, slashing at the enemy while blowing fierce flames at them, inflicting Scorch Bane.
Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.

Rage Burst
Each talent level slightly increases Scorch Damage.

Light Attack: Lightning Lashes
Successively lash the enemy ahead, building up Focus with each strike.

Heavy Attack: Thunderbolt Sweep
Successively lash the enemies around, building up Focus with each strike.

Spell: Lightning Infusion
In transformation, this Spell can be released with full Focus.
Raise the whip towards the sky, allowing thunder to infuse you through it, charging you into a Thrilled State.

Light Attack: Thunder Flurry
In Thrilled State, each lash of the whip calls forth a lightning strike to assail the enemy.

Heavy Attack: Thunder Dominion
In Thrilled State, raise your whip to conjure a Thunder Formation, intermittently striking enemies within its reach.

In darkness, cunning change doth brew, slow of step yet resolute.

Transform into a horse guai, immune to Thunder Damage, inflicting Thunder Bane on the enemy.
Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.

Bolt Runner
Each talent level slightly increases Thunder Damage.

Unlocked upon defeating the Supreme Inspector.

One somersault covers a hundred thousand miles.

After getting the Ruyi Scroll from Chen Loong, enter the painted realm and defeat the Yin Tiger.

Light Attack: Onslaught Blade
Raise the great iron blade to strike the target, building up Focus with each hit. As Focus increases, enemies are more easily staggered

Heavy Attack: Rift Cleaver
Hold Heavy Attack to unleash a powerful cleave, dealing massive damage. The more Focus built up, the more devastating the damage becomes.

Deflection: Blacksmith
Raise the blade to deflect assaults, building up Focus with each deflection, or Dodge to switch to other moves.

Spell: Windwalker
Upon full Focus during transformation, convert all Focus into Swiftness, which gradually decays over time. With Swiftness active, dodging transforms you into a gust of wind, allowing you to pass through enemies unimpeded.

Light Attack: Stormsurge
Upon entering Windwalker state, press Light Attack to transform into a gust of wind. Swiftly close in on your target and deliver a devastating blow, inflicting massive Damage.

A black wind rises, fate’s swift dance, with each retreat, a new advance.

Transform into the Yin Tiger to ward off incoming blows by holding the sword horizontally, or dash forward like a gale to close in on foes.
Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.

Cold Edge
Moderately reduces the Cooldown of all Alteration Spells.

Unlocked when you defeat the Monk from the Sea.

Light Attack: Tentacle Flick
Alternate strikes with both tentacles, building Focus with each hit.

Heavy Attack: Tentacle Sweep
Swing back the tentacles to sweep attack, amassing more Focus.

Spell: Ice Sheet
With at least 1 Focus Point in transformation, support yourself with the tentacles and create an Ice Sheet when smashing down. Enemies on the Ice Sheet will suffer from Frost Bane. Up to 3 Focus Points can be built. With more Focus built up, the Ice Sheet will last longer and be broader in range.

Light Attack: Snowball Fight
Initiating Light Attacks on the Ice Sheet hurls snowballs at the enemy, dealing Frost Damage.

Heavy Attack: Avalanche
Initiating Heavy Attack on the Ice Sheet smashes a giant snowball on the enemy, terminating their Chilled State.

Idling on in light of day, by night, remorse comes out to play.

Transforms into Monk from the Sea, weaving strikes with a blizzard’s grace and launching attacks that inflict Frost Bane.
Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.

Snow Veil
Each talent level slightly increases Frost Damage.

Unlocked upon completion of Chapter 3.

Light Attack: Sprouting Spring
The long blade whirls, delivering consecutive slashes to build up Focus. The last powerful slash deals additional Damage.

Heavy Attack: Withering Winter
Slower but heavier, this move deals higher Damage, and builds up Focus faster. The last powerful slash deals additional Damage.

Spell: Cold Heart
With full Focus during transformation, chant the Spell and raise the blade to summon a snowstorm and enter a Cold-Hearted State. In this state, all blade slashes are empowered, and Dodging transforms you into clouds and mist, enabling agile retreats.

Spell: Cold Resolution
In Cold-Hearted State, this spell enables instant closing in on the enemy, consuming Focus and Might to deal significant Damage.

Blood-soaked fur, heart of the dark, beware the macaque as his mind is stark.

Transform into the Macaque Chief, immune to Frost, wielding a longsword that unleashes Frost Bane.
Focus built up before transformation can be converted for use afterward.

Red Eyes
Upon defeating an enemy, slightly increases Attack for a long duration. This effect can stack up to 30 times.

Obtained by defeating Daoist Mi in the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area.

Light Attack: Slash
Slash with a sharp blade to wound an enemy.

Heavy Attack: Self-Torment
Imbue the blade with eggs by self-wounding. The blade can store up to four egg stacks. Each Light Attack consumes a stack, infesting the enemy’s wound with larvae.

Spell: Hive Mind
Command infested larvae to explode, dealing severe Damage instantly. Absorb part of the hatched swarm to recover a considerable amount of Health.

Spell: Self-Detonation
Detonate to inflict area Damage upon De-Transformation. This spell also activates Hive Mind, causing any remaining larvae on the enemy to explode.

Violet worm, violent form.

Transform into a worm guai, immune to Poison, inflicting Poison Bane on the enemy with each attack.

Filthy Malice
Each talent level slightly increases Poison Damage.

Unlocked after defeating the Yellow Loong in Chapter 4.

Light Attack: Lightning Dance
Dance with a blade of lightning, slashing repeatedly with deft finesse.

Heavy Attack: Fatal Shadow
Quietly charges in the shadows and executes a fatal attack upon release.

Varied Combo: Unscathed
Initiating a Heavy Attack during a Light Attack Combo triggers a Varied Combo. If the enemy strikes during this Varied Combo, you will be able to see through their move and counterattack, earning 1 Focus Point.

Heavy Attack: Death Trilogy
With at least 1 Focus Point, Death Trilogy replaces Fatal Shadow: Yellow Loong leaps into the air, infusing the tip of his blade with thunder, and slams onto the enemy’s forehead, dealing massive damage. If followed by another Heavy Attack upon landing, another leap and slam can be performed. This sequence can be repeated up to 3 times. Once this move is executed, all Focus will be emptied.

Golden thunder, lightning’s gift, a deadly dance both cruel and swift.

Transforms into Yellow Loong, gaining immunity to Shock and the ability to see through the enemy. Each attack inflicts Thunder Bane.

Lightning Flash
Moderately increases Invincibility duration when seeing through the enemy.

Unlocked in two ways:

1. After defeating the Stone Monkey and The Great Sage’s Broken Shell

2. Completing the Treasure Hunter’s quest and steps below

   • Defeat the final bosses of each chapter’s secret area - Elder Jinchi, Fuban, The Duskveil, and the Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast.
   • Visit The Great Pagoda shrine in the Pagoda Realm to trigger a cutscene and visit the secret Mount Mei area
   • Defeating Erlang, the Sacred Divinity

Light Attack: Primal Punch
Unleash a rapid flurry of punches, building up Focus.

Heavy Attack: Earthshatter Slam
Crouch and gather strength, then leap into the air, bringing both fists down with an earth-shattering strike. If empowered by Scorch or Frost, additional effects can be inflicted on the enemy. Charging can be cancelled by Dodging without losing the Focus built up.

Spell: Monkey Mind
Build up Focus and cast a variety of Spells. Each Spell consumes a different amount of Focus based on your Spells set.

Between the boundless dome and mortal plains, this lone monkey stands, unyielding and unstained.

Transform into a stone monkey, gaining immunity to Shock and Poison. Absorb and convert Frost and Scorch to empower yourself. Retain access to the Destined One’s Spells, and convert any pre-transformation Focus for use afterward.

Indestructibility
Considerably increases Four Banes Resistance.

One of your default abilities when using a Transformation.

Restore to the original form.

One of your abilities when using the Ashen Slumber transformation.

Cause area Damage and De-Transform.

Part of your move set when using the Violet Hail transformation.

Deal an area of Damage, De-Transform, and release Hive Mind.
