Beta Maps¶
In total, there are six maps coming to the Black Ops 7 beta:
- Blackheart - classic looking Black Ops type oil rig map
- Toshin - urban Tokyo map with jumping designed in the center with the crash site in the middle of the map.
- The Forge - dynamic map with spinning wall cover, and some
- Exposure - rotating container for wall jump into unique spots int eh Australian outback map
- Cortex - human testing site - very my side versus your side map
- Imprint - Industrial map with more central platform in the center.
For the most part, these maps tend to have the three lane setup in classic Call of Duty fashion. But, each map tends to have some form of design that gives players some unique wall jumping with the updated Omnimovement 2.0.
In Blackheart - it’s your standard smaller map with several rooms and overlooking longer lanes. But, in the middle, there is a spinning machine that you can wall jump around or go inside to move slightly different. If you mess it up, then you fall to your death.
Other maps such as Exposure also has a spinning container that can affect what part of the map you can access for wall jumping to get favorable advantages along the map pathways. Other maps like Toshin and the Forge have wall jumping into the middle of the map to give you some other favorable vantage pint, but n o unique timings, just old fashioned arcade shooter jumping.
Modes¶
During the beta, you will get your standard modes like TDM, Hardpoint, and more.
But, there’s a new mode called Overload. Overload is a team mode, which has a neutral device that players need to capture. Each team needs to capture it, and then go to the opposing teams zones. Each team has two zones, and dropping it onto that point allows the players to capture and win a round.
The developers also mentioned there is a 20v20 mode too, called Skirmish. But, they did not mention much about what it is.
