Black Ops 7 Zombies Beta Details¶
The four-day Zombies beta window includes two days during Early Access (October 3-5) and two days during Open Beta (October 5-7), ensuring all players get hands-on time with the mode. The developer delayed the Zombies launch by 24 hours after the beta’s October 2 start to prioritize game stability, marking the first time the studio has included Zombies in a pre-release testing period. Hitting both multiplayer and zombies at the same time helps spread the load, but we shall see how that plays out over the weekend.
Treyarch explained the cautious approach stems from wanting “the most stable experience possible” when adding a major game pillar mid-beta. Players can spend the first 24 hours unlocking Level 1-20 content in multiplayer that will carry over to Zombies when Survival goes live. Same goe sfor weapon progression, so you can use your M15 Mod 0 Loadout over there too and get levels up.
The beta build features new additions including the Wisp Tea Perk-a-Cola, Fire Works Ammo Mod, and Toxic Growth Field Upgrade. Players can test wall-jump mechanics against the undead and attempt unlimited high rounds with no round cap imposed. Solo players will have access to Save & Quit functionality, with Treyarch monitoring whether anyone reaches Round 999.
To preserve the launch experience, Easter Eggs, Side Quests, and dedicated Zombies crew characters won’t appear in the beta. The Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon is also exclusive to the full launch map, though the Ray Gun and Ray Gun Mark II remain available through Mystery Box pulls on the beta’s Vandorn Farm location.
Complimentary GobbleGums including Round Off, Power Vacuum, and Gift Card will be available for testing, though beta GobbleGums don’t transfer to Black Ops 6 or Black Ops 7 inventories. The full Augments system featuring 192 total options (including 66 new ones) will arrive at the November 14 launch rather than during beta testing.
A new Zombies Training Course debuts alongside Survival to help newcomers learn core mechanics before jumping into matches.
