Mirelurks - Fallout 4 Database

An irradiated variant of the Mirelurk. They inflict RAD damage on top of their ballistic damage. They glow a faint green and feature the same hardened carapace as the other variants.

With their slightly harder shells, these regular Mirelurks can be found near most bodies of water. They are rarely found alone.

• Emmet’s Causeway

Small, feeble, and fiercely guarded by their adult counterparts, mirelurk hatchlings are often found bursting from eggs when the player gets too close. They attack by rushing the player and jumping at them, biting for a few points of damage.

Attacking with poison and sonic damage, these bipedal Mirelurk variants are the most human-like. They are deadly at range and up close, but have no shell to protect them.

• Emmet’s Causeway

One of the largest enemy creatures in the game, she has very effective poisionous spit and powerful melee attacks.

Stay out of her AOE pool as it inflicts ramping damage.

• Quarry X3 (in the water)
• Spruce Knob Lake (in the water)
• Sunrise Field (in the water)
• Mac’s Farm (in the water)

• The Mire (prime mirelurk queen for Primal Cuts event)
• Heart of the Swamp (strangler mirelurk queen for Heart of the Swamp event)

They will hunt you down and slam into you to stagger. Their claws, as the name suggests, are visious weapons delaing impressive damage. Coupled with their near bulletproof carapace, the best cause of action is to deal explosive damage from afar and switch to assault rifle/ shot gun once they start showwing their faces.

• Nuka-World

The Mirelurk queen is an evolved form of the lobster. She often appears with a brood of hatchlings and mirelurk underlings. She’s immune to stagger and is more susceptible to energy weapons.

• Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant

Known to Far Harbor’s inhabitants as a terrifying sea monster, the Red Death is nothing more than a tiny Mirelurk with glowing red eyes. It is encountered during The Great Hunt quest.

• Red Death Island

Weaker with a greenish shell, these low level Mirelurks can be found early on in the game or later with other Mirelurk variants. Cooking their harvested meat provides more health than standard Mirelurk meat.
