“In the Cygillan Ocean swims a fish that has escaped all attempts to land it. It is the holy grail of anglers, and now it is Noctis’s turn to go a-questing after it. He sets out in hopes of bringing back the legendary giant they call “the Devil of the Cygillan.”

Description

To start the “Devil of the Cygillan” fishing quest in Final Fantasy XV, speak to Navyth at the Vannath Coast Fishing Spot in Galdin Quay. You’ll need specific gear, including the Dragon’s Beard line, the Burrower: Abyss Worm lure, and the Death Spin Rod and Nereid Reel from Bert’s Bobbers ‘n’ Stuff at Vesperpool. Look for the fish during the day and keep casting until you find it, then be patient and follow the prompts when reeling it in. Once caught, return to Navyth to complete the quest and receive the Tranquility rod.
