To the esteemed Francis Aldrich,
I write to you this day in a bid to resolve the conflicts of the past. I prefer to settle the matter diplomatically, as civilized persons. I choose the path of mercy. In this, my husband and I differ greatly. Be grateful that it is not he who writes this letter.
Though I do not support your cause, you may consider me sympathetic to your plight. It was mere centuries ago that the Sabinian reformation suffered comparable persecution during its humble beginnings. I will not abide similar bloodshed under my rule. I believe tolerance is the key to a united Hadea.
I hereby bequeath unto you a territory in the north of Jehania, known as the Plains of Mist. Here you will be free to conduct your rites of worship and develop your community however you see fit. In exchange, you and your followers are to remain within the territory’s borders, and away from the faithful communities of the Kingdom. You will also provide a yearly tithe to the Crown as restitution for this generous accommodation.
The attendants accompanying this letter will assist you with the relevant details.
Vigga Feihler, Queen of Hadea
