The Queen’s envoy has arrived, as anticipated. The aristocracy is entirely too predictable, thinking they have any influence whatsoever over matters of the divine. I was chosen by Teaar to carry out this sacred mission. Their futile meddling will change nothing.

Ah, but this Lady Sophia Morton. She is possessed of a singular beauty, enough to drive any man to madness. Graceful youth, alabaster flesh, supple and delicate. I feel a carnal yearning rising within me.

I will have her this night.
