Poogies are a recurring staple in the Monster Hunter series; these piggy mascots are usually just cosmetic pets that you can dress up and interact with to deepen your bond. In Monster Hunter Stories 3, however, they serve as collectibles - poogies can be found hidden throughout the wilderness areas of various maps, yielding Trade Tickets when discovered, which are converted into Trade Points you can spend at the Melynx Emporium. This page will cover the locations of every wayward Poogie in the Azuria region (including Ashen Pass) with map links accompanying text directions!

Get “The Poogie Hunter” ability and you’ll be alerted every time you’re near a Poogie!

All Poogie Locations in Azuria

There are a total of 25 Poogies in the Azuria region, including three found on the Ashen Pass map and one hidden in a cave along the southwestern edge of Azuria. If you complete Thea’s quest [The Gale Force Porkers] you’ll make finding these - and all future - Poogies much easier, as you’ll get a notification when you’re close. Marginally better than running around blind!

(1 of 4) Poogies in Azuria can be found in all sorts of places - out in the open,

Number Location Map Marker
Sunpetal Plains: In a pond along the northeastern edge of Sunpetal Plains, on some white rocks Map Marker
Sunpetal Plains: Near the edge of a cliff overlooking (north of) a pond in the center-east of the Sunpetal Plains. This is just east of the camp that will be set up after you defeat the "Feral Chatacabra" iconFeral Chatacabra during the main questline. Map Marker
Sunpetal Plains: Near a tree at a crossroads west of the camp in the region. Map Marker
Sunpetal Plains: On some cliffs overlooking (along the southern edge of) a pond in the east-central part of the region. Map Marker
Sunpetal Plains: Along the southeastern edge of the region, near a massive fallen tree. This is south of the Lookout Point tower. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: On the cliffs along the easternmost edge of this region, just east of the “Behind Ancient Battlegrounds” Caravan Stand. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: Along the road leading to the Ancient Battlegrounds (the southernmost point of the region), you’ll find this Poogie at the edge of a cliff overlooking the road, southeast of the “Ancient Battleground” Caravan Stand. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: On top of one of the small towers at the Ancient Battlefield. Use the Air Vent on the northern end of this area to fly into the air and onto the tower just a little southwest of it. It is hiding in the ground, so look for the prompt once you get on the tower. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: On some rocky high ground along the edge of the region northwest of the Ancient Battlefield, southeast of the Broadleaf Basin Camp. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: This Poogie can be found near a tree northeast of the Broadleaf Basin Camp. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: West of the Broadleaf Basin Camp you’ll find a small body of water which connects to the larger Mirror Lake via a stream. Midway up this stream you’ll find a cave to the west, inside of which is this Poogie… and a slumbering "Espinas" iconEspinas. This cave is northwest of the “Lookout Point: Broadleaf Basin” Caravan Stand. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: Near the southwest portion, there is a little stream that leads to a small lake. Go to the start of the little stream and look for the shoreline on the western side that you can go on. Do that and look behind the bushes there for the Poogie. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: On the western shore of Mirror Lake, just east of the “Broadleaf Basin” Catavan Stand - this Poogie is hiding on some lower ledges. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: In the southwestern portion of the region, where the "Anjanath" iconAnjanath dwells, search for this Poogie near the roots of a massive yellow-leafed tree. This Poogie is burrowed, so you won’t see it before you get the prompt to catch it. Map Marker
Broadleaf Basin: In the same area as the last Poogie, head southwest from the large, yellow-leafed tree and search the far side of a stream to find this Poogie. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: Along a small stretch of coast in between the two bridges that lead to Azuria Castle. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: On a small island just off the coast, northeast of the Broadleaf Basin Camp. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: Near a small pond on a larger island north of the Broadleaf Basin Camp. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: Along the westernmost edge of Mirror Lake, in some bushes northwest of the Mirror Lake Camp. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: You’ll find this Poogie in some shallows northeast of the Mirror Lake Camp, northwest of the island housing the “Mirror Lake” Caravan Stand. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: Perhaps the sneakiest Poogie in all of Azuria! North of Azuria Castle is a strip of land forming the north-central boundary of the region. Head to the western edge of this region to find a place where you can Ground Dive (the first Monstie you can get with this is the "Canyne" iconCanyne which can’t be found until you reach the Canalta Timberland). Burrow with a suitable Monstie and you’ll surface further west, on higher ground. This Poogie is just to the west of where you’ll arrive, but it too, is burrowed, so you’ll just have to look around for a prompt to uncover it. Map Marker
Mirror Lake: On the landmass north of Azuria Castle, near a tree against the cliffs that make up the northernmost boundary of this region. Map Marker
Ashen Pass: In the first large “chamber” in the Ashen Pass region, just north of where you enter. Near the center of this area find a collapsed tree trunk and use it as a ramp to reach a decidedly more horizontal part of the dead tree. You will need to use a Monstie to jump and/or glide onto this trunk, where the Poogie awaits. Map Marker
Ashen Pass: In the second “chamber” in the Ashen Pass region (just head north from the first “chamber), along the southern edge of this chamber you’ll find some high ground. Use a Monstie to climb to the top of this high ground, climb another wall southwest of a large tree and find this Poogie standing out in the open near some "Velociprey" iconVelociprey. Map Marker
Ashen Pass: This Poogie is a bit further in, so you may have to progress the main questline to reach this part of Ashen Pass. Advance through Ashen Pass until you reach a depression you have to drop into, only to scale a wall on the far side (north) - this is AFTER the pit you have to fly over. Past here you’ll reach a small, ring-shaped pond. This Poogie is on the island in the middle, in front of the crystallized tree. Map Marker
