Synopsis

Lyle runs a store in Xion, and he is heartbroken by the fact that the Gilt-bronze Standing Buddha, which he considers to be the guardian angel of the store, is missing. He is convinced that his daughter Arin stole it and means to sell it, and suggests that EVE ask the other Scavengers at the marketplace about the Buddha.

Kaya provides information on Arin’s whereabouts, but the story is a little different from Lyle’s version. Apparently, the two used to have a great relationship, but Lyle started acting strange recently, causing a rift between them. Arin suspected that the Gilt-bronze Standing Buddha was the reason behind the change in his personality, which was why she was looking for a place to get rid of it.

Kaya told Arin about a Villa located at the edge of the Scrap Plains in the Wasteland. However, neither Arin nor the Gilt-bronze Standing Buddha are in the building. EVE investigates the Villa and finds records left by Arin and gathers information from a service drone. It turns out that Arin went to the nearby Container Yard to bury it.

When EVE gets to the Container Yard, she hears Arin screaming for help at the cliff. EVE takes down the Naytibas and succeeds in saving the girl.

EVE returns to Lyle with Arin. After hearing that Arin almost died, Lyle is hit with a sense of deep regret, and he decides to listen to his daughter and recover his relationship with the neighboring merchants. He hands over the Gilt-bronze Standing Buddha to EVE and asks her to dispose of it for him.
