Silver
Databank Text
Silver deposits are associated with silver dolor growth. The silver dolor is a large-gilled organism (resembling a translucent flower) that dwells in shallow caves. Silver ions bind to DNA, making them effective antibiotics on Earth. Spectrogenetic analysis suggests this organism uses silver to stabilize unusual DNA configurations which would normally be nonviable. The adaptive benefit of this chemistry is unknown.
Search target: cave entrances and cave walls to the northwest of the lifepod.
