A Precise Cut, part 1
Text
The thing that sets a skilled fencer apart from the rest is precision of their strikes. Anyone can take a sword in their hand and flail it around, hoping to hit their opponent. There is this common tale that an untrained peasant, if given a proper blade, could prove more dangerous than an experienced soldier, because his moves would be unpredictable – which is, plainly speaking, a lie. A man who knows how to use his weapon, his enemy’s openings and weaknesses, and who is able to attack with precision – this man will always come out on top.
