Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your blood as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

So in Him we, though many, form one body connected by blood, and each member belongs to all the others.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

There is but one exception: upon the vrakhiri, as His divine servants, is bestowed the prerogative to carry out the Lord’s vengeance.
