I find it more and more difficult to decide what to say to my flock.

It is no mere Sunday homily – even though quoting from the Bible and repeating well-known proverbs might raise their spirits, it always seems lacking.

These people are in constant battle against the Adversary. The Lord’s name does not disappear from their lips; nor does divine zeal disappear from their hearts. Maybe it’s hubris, but I feel like they need more from me.

They are God’s warriors, after all. They are willing to sacrifice everything in His name.

They deserve every word of inspiration I can give them.
