My dearest Ambrus,

It troubles me that you have not replied to my last two letters. Clearly, they never reached your hand, for I refuse to believe you could so easily forget me.

Tomorrow, I set out for Svartrau to learn how your last campaign fared. Once I know where you are, I shall make sure that this letter reaches you, and when it does, you had best come to me at once, lest you face the wrath of a scorned woman.
