Saviour’s Walk, part 1

It happened during the power struggle in Vale Sangora. Radu Dobrescu, Ovidiu Dragosti’s most loyal follower, went to Sibiel to try to procure help from some mercenaries. He was almost done with his task when he heard that his master’s life was in peril – Knyaz Boarescu’s soldiers captured the challenger for the lord’s title. It was decided that Dragosti would be executed within a fortnight.

Learning this terrible news, Radu immediately set forth to return to Vale Sangora. He couldn’t afford a horse – he had no coin left after paying the mercenaries who were supposed to join him within three days. Alone and on foot, he travelled day and night, knowing that if he came a day too late, there would be no time left to set in motion his plan to save his sire…
