For those who need to know if a man loves them or ever will, there is a way to see.

Pluck three hairs from his head without him knowing – or gather them from his clothes. But be careful with those strays, lest you use another man’s hair or that of a horse!

Boil a cup of rosemary brew and leave it to cool until sunset. Once the sun’s down, put the hairs you gathered in it and sleep until morning, thinking of the man of your fancy.

Check the cup come morning -– if the hairs float, his heart is warm for you. If they sink, leave him be.
