Ascension Quests (Initial): This is where Ascension Quests begin to become available for your main party members. These special Hero Quests increase a class's Rank limit from 10 to 20.
Eunie's Side Story ("A Gray Matter" or related to her class) can be picked up as early as deep into Chapter 5.
Lanz's Side Story is also available after Eunie's, in Chapter 5.
The City: The main hub of The City becomes accessible, opening up many new side quests, rumors, and facilities.
Chapter 6: Choices
Heroes & Classes (Story-Based):
Miyabi (Troubadour): Unlocked automatically as part of Mio's Side Story, which is a compulsory quest in this chapter.
Cammuravi (Seraph): Unlocked automatically through story progression.
Ascension Quests: Many more Ascension Quests become available, often tied to specific Heroes and their related colonies/quests.
Mio's Side Story (Zephyr Ascension) is a required story quest in this chapter.
Taion's Side Story (Tactician Ascension) can be unlocked here.
Valdi's, Zeon's, and Teach's Ascension Quests often become fully unlockable here, provided you've done their prerequisite quests.
Chapter 7: Time Moves Again
Ascension Quests (Final Story-Related):
Noah's Side Story (Swordfighter Ascension) is a required quest to complete the main story.
Sena's Side Story (Ogre Ascension) also becomes available.
Weapon Upgrades (Ultimate Hammer): The ability to upgrade your weapons, by finding the Ultimate Hammer and completing the "Uniting The Seven Nopon" quest line, typically becomes accessible in this chapter.
Post-Game Preparation: Many lingering side quests and Ascension Quests can be completed before the final dungeon, although some are best saved for post-game.
Post-Game (After completing Chapter 7 and viewing credits):
Two New Heroes & Classes:
Nia (Lifesage): Found in Cloudkeep.
Melia (Royal Summoner): Found in Keves Castle (first floor).
Lowering Your Level: You can now intentionally lower your character levels at rest spots. This is great for challenge runs or for earning bonus EXP/CP from lower-level enemies.
Equipping Hero Accessories: You gain the option to equip accessories that were unique to Heroes on your main party members.
Special Weapon Skins: Certain weapon appearances (like the Monado for Swordfighter) become equipable in the Clothing menu.
New Game+: Start a new playthrough carrying over most of your progress (levels, unlocked Heroes, classes, money, etc.), allowing you to experience the story again with a different focus or challenge.
DLC (Expansion Pass - Wave-Dependent):
New Heroes & Classes: (e.g., Ino from Wave 2, and others in subsequent waves).
Challenge Battles: (Wave 2) Access to the Land of Challenge, offering difficult battles for unique rewards like Noponstones and new outfits (including swimsuits!).
Class Mastery Shop: (Wave 2, via Challenge Battles) Use Noponstones to instantly level up classes.
Gauntlet Mode: (Wave 3) A roguelite-style challenge mode.
New Story Content: (Wave 4) "Future Redeemed" adds a whole new story campaign, characters, and mechanics.
