I asked Dr Garrow about Oberon. She revealed that it was a meteorite that landed in Elizabethan times, and was buried until slate miners discovered it soon after the war. The meteorite’s material, termed “oberite”, allowed B.A.R.D. to make incredible leaps forward in technology, including advanced computers and robotics. But something else was let out of the meteorite, and they we’re given no choice but to enact quarantine protocol, she said.
