Soldiers are blocking the road. I suggest we turn around, but my escort doesn’t believe the soldiers will shoot. “Orders are to get Windfall out,” he says. I say I’m just a person, like everyone else we’re leaving behind, like all these villagers trying to drive away. “You’re more important than that,” he replies. “Windfall is more important than that.”
