Elementals |
This arduous journey sometimes offers its moments of wonder. Like today, when an elemental suddenly appeared. This creature is fascinating and incredibly rare to encounter! I felt like a naturalist observing a being never before seen. I took the opportunity to observe and take notes: This creature is of considerable size and though it can be damaged with hammers or similar weapons, these will not inflict maximum possible damage. Bladed weapons may prove more effective against them. I’ve made some new and interesting observations, here they are: Without bones, they can stretch their arms at will, extending the reach of their weapons without warning. They also pick up and use pieces of armor to cover parts of their anatomy. The Elemental is a truly fascinating creature. Here are some final notes: They frequently shake violently, causing their armor pieces to shift. During this time, they also regain their stamina, and become exceptionally dangerous. Interrupting their attacks is challenging, particularly their sudden and deadly sweeps. It is most effective to strike quickly and then retreat.

Mayhem Warmonger |
I’ve never seen up close something as… repulsive, hideous, and stinky. I can’t believe that ‘it’ has a mother and a father. It doesn’t seem like a creature from this world. But I should focus, observe, and document! Let’s see… This grunt is humongous. I estimate 550 pounds, at least. With his armor, I’m sure that he’s closer to 900. I’m about 130, and Aran should be no more than 200 at the most. His strength and size allow him to wield that enormous hammer effortlessly. Better that Aran keeps his distance. Striking him in the back sounds like a reasonable tactic, even if it is an ungentlemanly one. Oh, Blessed Forgers! We’ve found another Blocking will not help at all with this brute. I’ve seen him use his weight and size to overwhelm Aran, even if he sometimes manages to defend himself for a while, weapon dependent. I can assert that wearing him down is quite a good idea! Aran should remain out of his reach and provoke him to attack and miss. This makes him a pretty slow and predictable fellow. But it is easier to write this stuff than to confront him myself. I just can’t grasp how Aran slays these barbarians. I just hope these observations can help: I think that you can only break the warmonger’s mighty block with a very heavy weapon. If Aran cannot overcome his defense, then the creature counterstrikes sharply. The only way to avoid that attack is to dodge sideways. I’ve seen this enemy frenzy often, which makes him much more lethal. Aran should recognize that warmongers are tireless while in a frenzy, so trying to make them use up their stamina then is not going to work.

Phantom Gladiator |
I can’t think of a better name than Like all specters, the Phantom Gladiator is only vulnerable to a weapon imbued with the Time Rune. In life, it must have required immense effort to move that enormous body. Now, as a ghost, it never tires. I knew I had seen them before! After searching through my books, I found the information. The Phantom Gladiators were once assassins in the service of a nefarious Thaumaturgist cult that, fortunately, is now extinct. This explains why The Gladiator wields its enormous blade with ease and can stun you with a powerful headbutt in close combat. Exercise caution when approaching. Additionally, the blade has formidable blocking power. These beings were malevolent in life and are even more so now. Aran was right to insist on dealing with Aecides before heading to the Royal Palace. I will be relieved when they all return to the Hell they should never have escaped. Here are my final notes: Be cautious when they move away, as they seek distance to launch magical attacks. It is crucial to dodge these magical attacks and close the distance to force close combat. Only then can they be defeated.

Scarlet Thanes |
And I thought What I said for their lesser minions is valid here: These brutes never get tired. One quick, painful note: Those hammers of theirs deliver brutal damage. Aran should steer clear of them. Here’s more information about our scarlet brutes! From what I’ve seen, blocking their attacks is futile. Even more so when surrounded by other enemies. It’s worse than I thought… Not only is it futile to try and block their attacks, but also to attack when they are blocking in turn. I’ve seen that they tend to counterattack immediately. I think only very heavy weapons can break their defensive stance. My last chronicle about these Crimson Fort inhabitants. I really loathe this place! Just because they are already dead and never get tired, it doesn’t mean that they can handle those huge hammers as if they were light swords. They are slow and that is an advantage for us. If I were Aran, I would try to attack them from behind… carefully or look to lighter weapons. |

Spore Brutes |
My Science teacher would be fascinated by this creature! For now, I’ll stick to my notes: Attacking the spore brute indiscriminately will quickly damage any blade, as its armor is incredibly tough. To defeat it, target the colorful pustules that occasionally appear on its tough skin - except for the red ones! I’ll provide more details in my next note. I have a clearer understanding now and can explain exactly how the spore brute’s pustules work: White pustules: These are soft. Striking them will cause significant damage to the creature. Orange pustules: These are explosive but vulnerable. Destroy them before they detonate, or move away quickly. Red pustules: These emit spore jets from a distance. Prepare to dodge when you see them appear.

Words Keeper |
I remember those brutes well, the Bad news: They are very strong. Do not try to block their attacks unless you have the skill and a suitable weapon to counter them. The good news is that they are slow and predictable. It shouldn’t be difficult to take advantage of their lack of imagination. Sooner or later, one of them will try to steal the words from Dorin’s book. Go after him as soon as that happens, or you will have to start over. |
