Description

Tar is a crafting material in Conan Exiles. It is primarily used as a fuel source in crafting stations and as a component for making Steelfire, which is essential for producing Steel Bars. Tar can be obtained as a byproduct of tanning hides at the Tannery.

How To Obtain Item

To obtain Tar, players first need to gather hides from animals. Hides can be harvested from slain animals using a skinning knife or other cutting tools.

Once the necessary hides are obtained, players can process them at the Tannery using Bark as fuel. The Tannery will convert hides into leather, with Tar being produced as a byproduct:

1x Hide → 1x Leather + 1x Tar
