Belzecue

Description

The Belzecue is a mid-level member of the “Guard Hound” family of enemies, which you’ll encounter in Missions 1-4-5, 1-5-1 and 7-3-6. It’ll generally stick to two attacks, trading in the running bite typical to this group of monsters for a more dangerous Death Fangs attack, which, while still not strong in terms of damage, can inflict Death. Other than that, they’ll typically spam Disenchanting Tentacle, which can remove over 1,000 MP in a single hit and cause Confusion. Nasty enemies that aren’t likely to kill you if you’re immune to Death, but they can still prove to be nuisances anyways. They’re weak to ice.
