A Tarnished to be hunted, talk to 
Patches in Volcano Manor and he’ll task you with assassinating 
Great Horned Tragoth. You can “invade” him by interacting with the red summoning sign near the 
Magma Wyrm Makar Site of Grace.
Great Horned Tragoth can be summoned to assist you with Magma Wyrm Makar. Interact with the golden summoning sign to enlist him.
Great Horned Tragoth can be summoned to assist you with the Draconic Tree Sentinel which guards the entrance to Leyndell, Royal Capital. Interact with the golden summoning sign to enlist him.
Great Horned Tragoth can be summoned to assist you with 
Starscourge Radahn. Interact with the golden summoning sign to enlist him.

You will learn the
Casual Greeting gesture if you summon him to assist with any boss. -
If you assassinate him, he cannot be summoned to help fight against the aforementioned bosses.
