Description
Maleigh Marais is a hostile human NPC that can be found roaming the statue laden field west of The Shaded Castle. He wields the Antspur Rapier which is a powerful scarlet rot weapon. It’s recommended to use long-range weapons to deal with him like the Golden Halberd otherwise you could be hit by his thrusting rapier combos which can deal significant damage.
He’ll also use Poison Cloud and try to get you to run into it by hanging back, either wait for it to dissipate or go around it and attack him. He is susceptible to stagger so take advantage of that. If you’re having trouble fighting him, you can lure hit towards a giant golen to the north who can do the job for you.
Lore
With their identity completely shrouded by their mask and long robes. The Marais family has a dual history spanning generations, serving as both executioners and castellans of the Shaded Castle. The sons of House Marais are all sickly born. Little wonder that Maleigh Marais would be so beguiled by the beautiful and fierce goddess who was born into rot.
