Mending Rune of the Death-Prince is a Great Rune that unlike most other Great Runes, cannot be equipped. It’s only effect is to alter the ending of the game.
Lore
Rune gestated by Fia, the Deathbed Companion. Used the restore the fractured Elden RIng when brandished by the Elden Lord. Formed of the two hallowbrand half-wheels combined, it will embed the pricinple of life within Death into Order. The Golden Order was created by confining Destined Death. Thus, this new Order will be one of Death restored.
Location
- Once you’ve killed Lichdragon Fortissax in Deeproot Depths, and you have returned from the Deathbed Dream you’ll see that it appears Fia has fallen into a coma. You can loot her to obtain the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince - the key item which can influence the ending of the game.

Ending: Age Of Duskborn
Conditions:
- Choose to follow the path of the Two Fingers and finish the game.
- After the final boss, choose to “Use Mending Rune of the Death-Prince”.
