Nahant Oceanological Society Piers & Wharfs

Description

The "Nahant Oceanological Society" iconNahant Oceanological Society, situated in the town of Nahant within the Commonwealth, was originally a marine research laboratory. However, it now serves as a breeding ground for mirelurks, with its oceanological instructor robots continuing their operations amidst the aquatic mutations.

Background / History

Before the Great War, the society focused on marine life preservation and was instrumental in identifying mutations in local crustaceans due to radioactive pollutants. Despite their efforts to raise awareness, their concerns were dismissed by authorities and media outlets. Additionally, the society uncovered environmental pollution in "Lake Quannapowitt" iconLake Quannapowitt, attributed to "Mass Fusion" iconMass Fusion, leading to a health crisis and subsequent legal disputes. During the war’s last week, much of the staff attended a symposium, leaving behind active robots and ongoing research tasks.
