Ultimate or Standard?

Apparently nearly 90% of preorders for GTA6 are for the $100 ultimate edition.

Which version did everybody preorder, and what sold you on it?

As far as I'm concerned, with how they've packed it up, that Ultimate Edition is the standard version. Feels like it's their way of getting around charging $100 for the game.

Cutting out actual shops and other gameplay features from the standard issue is a bit crazy.

I haven’t decided yet - $100 seems like a lot for a single game but it’s been 13 years, and it will probably eat up a lot of my time, so maybe the ultimate version

I went with the Ultimate Edition. It seems like you actually get quite a lot for the extra money:

GTAVI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade:

  • '95 Grotti Cheetah
  • Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers
  • Personalized Weapon Variants
  • Vice City Styles
  • Jason's Safehouse Vehicles
  • Ganado Retro Build
  • Rideout Customs Mod Shop
  • Sara's Unisex Salon
  • Shitzu Squalo
  • Stock 305 Clothing Store
  • '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage
  • Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor
  • One-Eyed Willie's Mod Shop
  • Goodtime Gear
  • PTT Youngin$ Compound
  • Classic Car Collection

FOMO proves itself bankable again. Can't risk missing out on one piece of content. Can't risk missing some experience that someone else might have gotten to have.

Though while GTAVI has all the eyes on it right now, have you looked at how much the full CKIII or Cities: Skylines packages cost?
