Blooming Ridge Shrine
Faithful Leap Shrine
Along the western reaches of the Tokachi Range you’ll find the Amber Respite Shrine Climb. This one is relatively uncomplicated, and for reaching the summit you’ll obtain the Charm of Masakado. This page will cover how to reach the summit of the Amber Respite Shrine Climb in Ghost of Yotei.
Page Breakdown¶
The Amber Respite Shrine Climb can be found along the western edge of the Tokachi Range.
Follow a trail - of dirt or white flowers - from the Huranui’s Rest Inn - until you see Torii gates leading you to the start of the Shrine Climb.
Amber Respite Shrine Location¶
You can find the Amber Respite Shrine along the western edge of the Tokachi Range region. There’s a trail - of dirt, then of white flowers - that’ll lead you northwest from the Huraniui’s Rest Inn all the way to the Torii gates that mark the approach to the shrine.
(1 of 6) Some frog statues mark the end of the original pilgrimage path to the summit, and the start of the Shrine Climb.
Amber Respite Shrine Summit Directions¶
Keep following the Torii gates until you reach the mountains, or rather, a pond at the base of the mountains. Follow the green grass marking relatively dry land that’ll lead to the mountains and at the end of this grassy land-bridge note a round stone to the right and a small, dead tree to the left. Search the tree to find a note, once read, starts the tale [A Flower For Your Thoughts], which you can complete as part of this Shrine Climb - check the link for a walkthrough of this quest. Cross a humble bridge and go uphill under the Torii gate and the route will end at some frog statues. Time for the Shrine Climb to begin!:’
- Surmount a ledge past the stone frogs, cross some beams spanning a gap, then turn right and climb a cliff.
- Climb a ledge ahead, then continue forward and scale another ledge to the left.
- Head uphill and pass through a cleft in the rocks.
- Round a corner to the right and pass through a cave.
- Continue uphill after exiting the cave until you find a cliff you can climb (note there’s a cave to the right you can loot for minor goodies).
- Climb the rather long, segmented cliff. Turn right and climb up to a higher ledge, then climb another cliff.
- Continue upstairs through a Torii gate, then through a cleft in the rocks behind it.
- After the cleft, turn right, get a running start and jump over a rocky slope to a ledge below. You need to air this jump out a good bit to make it.
- Head upstairs to find a novelty on these Shrine Climbs - options! There are multiple cliffs you can climb around the area to progress, but we’ll stick to the high ground.
- Jump a gap ahead, climb a ledge to the left, go up some more stairs, then head to the end of a stone ledge to find a branch growing out a cliff ahead of you.
- Jump towards the branch, grapple, and swing across the gap.
- Continue forward, cross a rope spanning a gap, turn left at some frog statues, climb some stairs, then continue until you find another branch ahead. Jump, grapple and swing across this branch to reach a distant ledge.
- Jump a gap and climb a cliff to the left.
- When you reach a small ledge, turn right and jump onto a branch, then jump from there onto another cliff you can climb above the branch.
- Climb up to reach a Torii gate. Go upstairs, pass under a second Torii gate, then head left to continue the Shrine Climb (although there’s a nice view on a precipice to the right!).
- The left path will end at a rocky slope, marking the one remotely tricky part of this Shrine Climb. You need to jump onto the slope, slide down, and jump and grapple onto a tree trunk near the bottom of the slope.
- Climb up using the trump, then scale two ledges and ascend a climbable cliff.
- Turn right to find a tree branch. Jump towards it, grapple and swing to reach a ledge near a waterfall.
- Climb a ledge, cross a rope and follow the walkway ahead around a corner.
- You should spot a Torii gate ahead, beyond which is a gingko tree and the shrine.
Pray at the shrine to obtain the Charm of Masakado.
Charm of Masakado¶
Praying at the shrine atop the summit will reward you with the Charm of Masakado, which will cause the Onryo’s Will ability to revive Atsu at full health when used.
