Description

An ancient parchment lamenting mistakes made in the pursuit of wisdom. Found in a Vault of Forbidden Knowledge in Marastan.

Inspection Text

All we sought was an end to spite, hatred, and madness; an end to the constant spilling of blood.

Long did we wander, until wearied were our steps.
Then labored we, with sweat and sorrow,
And found we, the greatest thing of all.
Gazing upon us, the Eye.
And in our folly, we cast doom upon us all.

And now an age has passed, and the echoes of truth grow dim.
An age has passed, and yet no wisdom dawns.
Still, the blight we wrought knows no end,
Still, we grasp not the means to sunder the curse of our own making.
