VERY Start of Chapter 9 (30GS/Bronze) Objective: Show that pit who's boss When you escape from Wheatley at the very beginning of the Chapter, start to run away and then he'll ask you to come back. Do so and (this is optional) stand at the edge of the walkway for a couple of minutes and listen as he tries to persuade you to jump down to your death. Once GLaDOS has said her bit, jump in for your reward.
Chapter 2 - Chamber 6 (5GS/Bronze)Objective: Use an Aerial Faith Plate to launch a turret Similar to the previous Cheevo/Trophy, you need to pick up the turret from the junk that's flung in your direction (before it's destroyed in the acid). Take it to the start of the level and drop it on the Aerial Faith Plate for an easy 5GS/Bronze.
Chapter 3 - Chamber 2 (30GS/Silver)Objective: Complete Test Chamber 10 in 70 secondsThere's not too many different ways you can complete this level in a super quick fashion, so it's primarily a case of knowing the test chamber's layout well. You don't have to do it perfectly to finish it in under 70 seconds (there's a little bit of room for making a few small mistakes here and there), but it'll take a bit of practice to bag. Just remember not to stop for anything and try to do each step in one smooth motion. The guide we wrote for this chamber was based around the completion of this room in this timescale, so here it is again to save you looking for it:Once you enter the Chamber, turn around and look up at the high wall in front of you. Fire your first portal (the exit one) up at the top and then turn around.Move forwards until you reach the trench, look down and fire the other portal at the ground here and fall in. The momentum will carry you across over to the Companion Cube resting on the ledge. Pick it up and then fall back down through the portal below you.Once you're back on the main floor, stand on the jump pad and you'll hit the glass wall on the middle level. Place your Companion Cube in front of the laser to break it, dropping the barrier behind you.Look up into the top right-hand corner of the room and on the white bit of wall here, fire a portal over here (it should be right across from where your Companion Cube is sitting). Now drop down and run over the jump pad again to be taken up to the upper floor.There's a conveniently placed white wall to the left of the red plunger, so place your second portal here and then hit the red button.Turn around and stand in the middle facing the jump pads (looking towards the exit). A Displacement Cube will come bouncing up towards you, so grab it, then drop down to the middle level below you.Place the Displacement Cube directly opposite the portal and then remove the Companion Cube. The laser beam should now pass through the portal and directly onto the beam receiver up above you.Now simply drop back down to the ground floor (with your Companion Cube in tow), hit the jump pad and watch as you're carried towards the exit. Set the Cube down on the large red button to open the exit behind you.
Start of Chapter 8 (10GS/Bronze) Objective: Refuse to solve the first test in Chapter 8 When you board the lift towards Wheatley's first Chamber (the one with the waterless moat and the single button), simply stay still for around 30 seconds or so. That's it! The Achievement/Trophy will now be yours forever.
Objective: Solve 3 co-op chambers in the Mass and Velocity course in under 60 seconds eachHere's the three courses we used to get this with no trouble: Course 2, Course 3 and Course 4. Which is handy as they're right at the start! You don't have to earn them in succession as the game will remember how quickly you complete each course, even if you attempt each course separately.
Still Alive: Excursion Funnels Course - ALL Nine Courses! (15GS/Bronze) Objective: Complete Course 4 with neither you nor your co-op partner dying You must compete each and every Excursion and Funnels course without either of you dying once. It's not difficult as long as you're both reasonable experienced Portal 2 players. Just practice each of the individual courses until you're both satisfied they're all easy. Once you put the CD in the drive at the end of Course 9, you'll be dutifully rewarded for your valiant efforts.
All of Chapter 8 (75GS/Gold)Objective: Break 11 Test Chamber monitors See those monitors with Wheatley's smug mug on them in each Chamber? You need to break the glass on each and every one of them for all the Chambers in Chapter 8. Thanks to our video guide below, this shouldn't pose to much of a problem, although the very last room will most likely cause you a few headaches as you retry it a few times until you can leave one turret untouched by the gel.
Chapter 5 - Part 1 (10GS/Bronze) Objective: Save a turret from redemption When you reach the second conveyor belt near the start of Chapter 5, you should spot the targeting beam of a turret laying on the conveyor. It'll say "I'm Different!", so pick it up and you'll be rewarded for your kindness with an Achievement/Trophy. Nice.
Chapter 2 - Chamber 6 (20GS/Bronze)Objective: Find the hidden signal in one of Rat Man's dens You need to set up a portal to the right of where the red button is located and then press the button to release the junk. Stand in front of the junk and catch the radio that's flung through the portal. Once you have it, head back to the start of the room. Place a portal on the right-hand slanted wall panel (the one you used to get over here in the first place). Now look for the single light wall panel up in the right-hand corner of the room. Set the next portal here, hit the Aerial Faith Plate and you'll get carried into the secret room. Hold the radio still in the middle of the room for your reward.
Chapter 2 - Chamber 6 (20GS/Silver)Objective: Place a cube on a button without touching the cubeBefore dropping the Companion Cube from the chute, set a portal on the right-hand slanted wall panel and then place the exit portal on the wall panel directly above the red switch that opens the exit. Push the red button and the Cube will fall straight onto the button, earning you the Cheevo/Trophy!
Chapter 6 - Near the start and Chamber 7 (20GS/Bronze)Objective: Examine all the vitrified Test Chamber doorsThis is a two-part Achievement/Trophy that requires you to push a total of six specific door buttons. The first three are located just after you ride the tall elevator near the start of Chapter 6. Look to your left and where you place the portal on the angled roof, lay a portal at the top of the elevator instead. This'll allow you to simply walk onto the platform where the three doors are. Hit all three buttons and once you've done that, finish off the area as per usual. The second half shows up when you reach the outdoor section of Chamber 7, get to the top walkway and then go into the office space up here. Look behind the shelving in the top left-hand corner to find a concealed door. Walk on through and press the remaining three buttons for your reward.
Four Ring Circus: Mobility Gels - Course 6 (25GS/Bronze) Objective: Enter 4 different portals without touching the ground in co-op The key to earning this one is that you must enter four separate portals. It's no use just coming out of one, you must go back in it. There's quite a few places you can achieve this one, but we found that this course was almost tailor made for it.Once speed run up the orange gel and into the slanted wall panel like you usually would (if you were trying to catch the Displacement Cube), instead you simply need to go up, drop back down into the portal your friend laid for you (that's one done), now go up and back down through the second one left for you (that's two completed), as you go up on the third pass, fire a portal straight down and that's portal number three, now as you start to fall from the fourth pass, fire the last portal below you and the Achievement/Trophy will 'pop' for you.
Professor Portal: MUST Have Completed Co-op Already (75GS/Gold) Objective: After completing co-op, complete Calibration Course online with a friend who hasn’t played before There's two ways to achieve this, either find somebody on your friends list who has yet to play any of the co-op, or... activate a 48hr Gold code (found in most new multiplayer enabled games) and create a special GamerTag using this code (or create a new PSN tag for free and then use that).Add the new 'friend' to the list of whoever needs the Cheevo/Trophy and then start a new game. As this 'new friend' will be new to co-op, you'll earn this as soon as you reach the camera at the end of the first Course!
Chapter 2 - Chamber 7 (20GS/Bronze)Objective: Break the rules in Test Chamber 07Once you've reached the exit in Chamber 7, look for a shoot-able wall just past the exit door (on the right). Fire a portal in here, then drop back down to the Cube, pick it up and then drop through a portal. This'll leave you right back at the exit, allowing you to take it towards the elevator for your prize.
