I thought the lodge was our salvation – the vrakhiri wouldn’t be looking for nobles in a rundown shack. But I’m starting to have my doubts… it sounds, especially at night, like something’s lurking around here, circling us.

Do the vrakhiri know we’re hiding here? Are they playing a game? Or are there other horrors out there, once lurking in the shadows with the bloodsuckers, and now eager to hunt us down like animals?

I pray it’s neither, but I struggle to believe it.
