Unsent Letter

Hana,

Do not come to St. Tyna’s. The place is full already. People everywhere – camping in the courtyard, sleeping in the chapel. All of them sick, dying left and right. Sisters pray day and night but to no avail.

Knyaz Skender’s messenger is here, he’s setting off for Svartrau tomorrow come dawn. I hoped to leave with him, but I’m too ill to move now.

Pray for my soul.
