Hive and Seek

Description

Isbrand, Brencis’s maker, had been locked in the caves for two years. We have to find him and talk about any weaknesses Brencis might have.

Talk to Lacra	I should talk to Lacra. We know our next steps.
Go to the caves with Lacra	We know where Isbrand is – locked inside the caves near the uriash village. We have to go find him.
Look for Lacra by the caves	We know where Isbrand is – locked inside the caves near the uriash village. I should catch up with the impatient Lacra and we should search for him.
Find and question Isbrand	We’ve entered the cave complex near the village. Isbrand should be somewhere inside here. We must find him.
Follow kobold guidance	The kobolds want to show us a better way to Chonk. We can follow their lead.
Ambush Chonk using the secret tunnel	We’ve struck an alliance with the kobold hive. They showed us a secret tunnel leading to Chonk’s – the corrupted kobold leader’s – chamber. We can use it to ambush him.
Defeat the corrupted kobolds	We found the lair of the kobolds corrupted with vrakhiric essence. We must dispatch them.
Defeat the kobold hive	I shouldn’t be surprised – with Chonk and his corrupted kobolds gone, the hive sniffed their chance to taste vrakhiri meat and attacked us. Now they all die.
Talk to Isbrand	The kobolds are gone. We can finally talk to Isbrand.
Talk to Lacra when you’re ready to leave	I decided to take a look around the chamber before leaving.
Talk to Lacra when you’re ready to enter the cave	Lacra is waiting for me by the cave near the uriash village. When I’m ready, it’s time to go find Brencis’s sire.

1	We found Isbrand – or what remained of him – in the caves. He was in no condition to speak, so we took him back to the abandoned fort where Lacra will try to help him.
2	Looking for Isbrand felt like it could become a wild goose chase. I couldn’t risk it, I don’t have the time. I have to get to Brencis.
3	I left Lacra in the caves – I couldn’t deal with that place, or with her. I’ll find another way to get to Brencis.
