Trophy Guide

There are a total of five tools that can be found throughout your Last of Us Part 1 playthrough and we’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding them.

Tools Upgrade Level 1 Location

Collect the Tool Upgrade Level 1 from a shelf in Bill’s Basement.

Progress through the game until you reach Bill’s Town, then eventually you’ll enter a basement with him. Here you’ll want to look over to the left of the workbench to find the Tool Upgrade Level 1 sitting on a shelf in a corner.

Tools Upgrade Level 2 Location

Collect the Tools Upgrade Level 2 from inside the garage.

Progress through the game until you reach Pittsburgh, then enter the garage after you’ve defeated the hunters to find the Tools Upgrade Level 2 sitting in the corner next to a fan.

Tools Upgrade Level 3 Location

Collect the Tools Upgrade Level 3 from the floor.

Progress through the game until you reach the Sewers, then help Ellie fix a generator so you can use the platform to reach the opposite side. From here, search the room on the left to find the Tools Upgrade Level 3 sitting on the floor next to a chair.

Tools Upgrade Level 4 Location

Collect the Tools Upgrade Level 4 sitting on a table.

Progress through The University until you enter the Science Building, then make your way to the end of the corridor and unlock room 205 with a Shiv to find the Tools Upgrade Level 4 sitting on a table.

Tools Upgrade Level 5 Location

Collect the Tools Upgrade Level 5 from inside a tent.

Progress through the game until you reach the Bus Depot, then make your way outside and search the large tent to find the Tools Upgrade Level 5 sitting on a table.
