Dampé needs something that matches his vision. Show him a monster that spits stones in battle. Also, a Firework. You can find a fireworks artisan on 
Eldin Volcano.
The new automaton is complete! The Tocktorok that Dampé made is an automaton that continuously shoots fireworks.
