Hidden Treasure

A level 22 Fiend guards a corpse holding the Bandit’s key. The key unlocks a nearby loot-filled bunker.

A corpse on the shore holds a Water-damaged letter that will direct you to a sunken chest in the water to the north.

Level 15 Mucknixers and level 10 Drowners guard a chest on this island. Two more loot-filled chests can be found in the water nearby.

A corpse in the water holds an Unsent letter that will direct you to a chest in the river guarded by some level 10 Drowners.

A Bloodstained key and document here will direct you towards a crate to the north-west.

A Slightly bent key and Unsent letter here will direct you to open a chest nearby. Watch out for the Basilisk!

Crumpled notes and a Key attached to a crumpled note will direct you to a chest hidden behind some barrels. Use Aard to destroy them and gain access.

A corpse here holds a Nilfgaardian’s notes that will direct you to a nearby loot-filled chest surrounded by level 4 Drowners.

Corpses on the road guarded by a level 4 Foglet here hold a Small key and Letter. Use the key on a chest on the wagon to get the loot inside.

You’ll find Smuggler’s notes on a corpse surrounded by level 4 Drowners here. It will direct you to a chest among the wrecks in the sea to the west.

You can find a Pirate’s notes here that will direct you to a treasure in the sunken ship to the northwest.

A corpse by the path holds a Key to burned down house and Crumpled letter. The letter will direct you to the nearby house, and the key will unlock a treasure chest once you’ve dealt with a level 28 Grave Hag.

Level 4 Drowners guard a chest on the sea floor.

A breakable door to the south will take you into a cellar where you’ll find a corpse holding Crumpled notes and a Key to treasure chest. The notes will direct you a chest sticking out of a pile of hay (near the village’s north-easternmost house) that the key can unlock.

Here, a corpse guarded by level 9 deserters holds a Letter. It will direct you a chest on the hill to the south.

Here, you’ll find a corpse surrounded by level 4 Foglets holding a Scratched key. Head to the south-eastern tip of the island to find and unlock a small chest near some shovels. Witcher senses will show footprints leading to and from the chest.

A group of level 4 Drowners protect this island where a corpse holds Blood-smeared notes. The note will direct you towards treasure chests in the surrounding waters.

A level 15 Noonwraith guards a corpse holding an Unsent letter and Key to a chest. The letter will direct you towards a chest on the ruins behind some barrels that must be destroyed with Aard.

A group of level 9 bandits guard a corpse holding a Common key and Marauder’s notes. The note will direct you to a chest along the path that the key will open.

A charred corpse here holds a Cargo list that will direct you to a chest in a sunken ship in the nearby waters.

A group of level 12-14 pirates guard a sack with an Unsent letter inside. It’ll direct you to a chest on the seafloor to the east.

A corpse in shallow water here holds a Chest key. It is used to open a chest on the same island.

A corpse by the roadside here holds an Itinerant merchant’s notes and Small chest key. The former directs you to a treasure chest at the bottom of the nearby lake, and the latter unlocks it.

A corpse by the roadside here holds a Silver-plated key and Old, yellowed letter. The latter directs you to a chest in a ruined house nearby, and the former unlocks it.

A corpse here holds a Message and Scratched key. The former will direct you into a cave through the nearby Entrance and latter will unlock a loot-filled chest at the back of it.

Inside this house, you’ll find a chest containing a Letter. Taking it will direct you to a chest on a sunken ship near the small islands in the south-west.

Deep in the Monster Den, a corpse holds an Elven-made key. It unlocks a chest on the other side of the room, past all the spike traps.

A skeleton trapped beneath a boat here holds Notes about treasure. They’ll direct you to a chest on the seafloor to the east.

A sack in a beached boat here holds a Torn piece of paper. It’ll direct you to a treasure chest at the bottom of the lake.

A bunch of treasure chests can be found around a sunken ship here.

A treasure chest can be found in a seaweed-covered wreckage on the sea floor.

A treasure chest on this island is guarded by several Sirens.

A corpse on the island here holds a Note and Key with ring attached. The former directs you to a chest on the seafloor nearby and the latter unlocks it.

A bunch of loot is found in the basement of the fortress. Enter it through the unmarked Entrance to the north-west, and fight a level 14 Pirate Leader to get a Key to prison.

Use it on the neighboring cell to claim the loot inside (and find a Game of Thrones reference!)

A corpse on the frozen shore here holds a Plain key. It unlocks a chest to the west near a level 16 Bear.

A corpse in an Archgriffin’s nest holds A frustrated warrior’s notes and Skullhead key. The former directs you to a chest at the end of the northern path, and the latter unlocks it.

A corpse in a beached ship here holds a Traveler’s notes. They’ll direct you to a treasure chest on the sea floor to the north.

Use the island to climb aboard a beached ship, then use Aard to break into its captain’s cabin. Inside, you’ll find a bunch of loot.

A skeleton in a ruined building here holds an Old key and Mysterious map. The latter will direct you to a chest beneath a waterfall south-east of Fayrlund and the former will unlock it.

Inside a crypt, guarded by Nightwraiths. Can only be accessed with the Crypt key held by a corpse near the entrance to the graveyard.

High-tier loot is held by a corpse among the ruins. The Chest key it gives opens a container at the highest point of the ruined castle.

The Bloody letter and Incrusted key held by a corpse in this watchtower will direct you to a locked chest beneath the dock near Moldavie Residence.

The nearby cabin houses a basement that can be cleared by using Aard on the barrels covering it. Once inside, take the Rusted key and letter, which will direct you to a sunken boat to the south-west.

Directs you toward a locked chest inside the Griffin-guarded cellar to the north-east. Use the Completely ordinary key to unlock it.

Half-buried in the cave’s largest room. Requires the Bent key from a corpse near the Entrance to open.

A locked chest in the basement of the Arnskrone Castle Ruins. Requires a Tarnished key, which is guarded by a nearby Ancient Leshen.

A corpse here holds Notes by a vandaguilder from Filbert’s hanse. They’ll direct you to a nearby manor where you’ll need to climb a ladder into the attic and interact with a candle to find a treasure chest.

Level 40 bandits guard Orders on stained paper and a Key. The former will direct you to a sunken boat and the latter will unlock a chest amidst the wreckage.

A sack guarded by level 37 bandits here holds Orders from Graybill Pellegrin and a Gardener’s Key. The former will direct you to a chest behind some barrels nearby and the latter will unlock it.

A corpse guarded by level 35 Drowners here holds a Sodden letter and Ornate key. The former will direct you to the crypts beneath a nearby cemetery and the latter will unlock a chest that some level 36 Grave Robbers were hoping to open.

A corpse at the edge of a ruins holds a Perfume-laced journal and “Vis la Crac” Wine. The former will begin a quest to light the nearby candles in a specific order, and the latter is consumed when the candles are lit.

This spawns the Phantom of the Amphitheater, a powerful Wraith. Kill her to get an Ornate necklace with a key-shaped pendant, and use it to unlock the theater’s basement where a chest holds the treasure.

A corpse beneath a tree here holds a Clerk’s diary and Old key. The former will direct you to a small chest nearby, and the latter will unlock it.

A corpse hanging from a tree here holds a Journal of a desperate man. Reading it will direct you to some buried jewels in the field to the east.

Level 38 Barghests guard a corpse holding Alistair Carnarvon’s journal and a Key. The former will direct you to camp filled with level 46 Archespores and the latter will unlock a chest in a tent there.

A sack beneath a tree at the edge of the island holds an Escape artist’s journal. It will direct you to the nearby Entrance, where a corpse in the flooded cave holds a Masterly ornamented key.

Take it to another Entrance at the southern edge of the lake, and you’ll find tons of loot - including a container that the key unlocks - inside.

A corpse is surrounded by level 35 Drowners here. It holds a Small key and Letter to Pascal Pelissier. The latter will direct you a sunken ship in the nearby lake and the former will unlock a treasure chest within.

A corpse in the hold of a sunken ship here holds a Key and Ship captain’s log. The latter will direct you to a cave via the nearby Entrance and the former will open a locked chest inside.

A box here holds an Unfinished report and Key to a travel chest. The former will take you to a wagon on the beach and the latter will open a locked chest behind it.

A corpse near the bridge holds a Letter to Cosmo Cyrille and Key to lockbox. The former will direct you to the Coronata Vineyard and the latter unlocks a chest in a pile of dung.

Level 37 Rotfiends guard a corpse holding Augustin Tonnelliay’s journal and a Key to chest in sunflower fields. The former will direct you to a vineyard in the south-east, and the latter will unlock a chest hidden among the sunflowers there.

Found inside a cave accessed during the Wandering in the Dark quest. Next to the area where you find the Magic Lamp, climb the ledges to find chests guarded by a level 6 !Golem.

Level 4 Drowners guard this treasure which you can find under the bridge in the water.

A pack of wolves and wild dogs guard the area. There are plenty of sacks and barrels to loot, but the real prize is the chest in the tent. Inside, amongst loot of various quality, you’ll find some “Scrawled Notes” . Picking them up starts the quest “Dirty Funds”.

More wolves guard this treasure. Loot the sacks outside of the tent, then turn your attention to the goodies inside. In a crate you’ll find the letter “Spy’s Notes” which will complete the quest “Deserter Gold” if you pick it up and read it.
