Description

The Underdark, a sprawling network of subterranean caverns, is a pivotal Location within Act One’s Wilderness area.

How to Find / Access

To access the Underdark, one must venture deep underground via several entry points. Notable locations facilitating Underdark access include:

• Defiled Temple
• Zhentarim Hideout
• Gnarled Teahouse
• Whispering Depths

Sub-Areas

Storehouse

• The Zhentarim storehouse.
• The Storehouse resides at the Underdark’s northeastern edge ( X: 142 Y: -104 ). It features an elevator leading to the Zhentarim Hideout, accessible once activated within the hideout.

Notable Loot
The Storehouse’s crates yield a variety of items including poison, camp supplies, and jewelry. Beware the trapped Heavy Chest near the elevator.

Dread Hollow

• The sussur tree growing in the Underdark.
• A notable Sussur tree dominates the western Ebonlake Grotto. The region is home to Hook Horrors and the formidable spellcaster Filro the Forgotten.

Notable Loot
Explore the area for valuable items like the buried Dog Collar and the Icy Crystal. Sussur Blooms and Sussur Tree Bark can also be found.

Petrified Drow: West of Selûnite Outpost lies a cliff with Petrified Drow and a Spectator. Free the Drow from Spectator’s Charm and gain insights into the Adamantine Forge.

Phalar Aluve: Discover a magical Drow blade in stone ( X: 116 Y: -192 ), obtainable through a Strength or Religion check.
Wandering Minotaurs: Two Minotaurs north of Selûnite Outpost hold treasures including the Amulet of the Unworthy ( X: 158 Y: -146 ).
