- You can encounter Glintstone Dragon Smarag in the center of Liurnia of the Lakes, north from the Temple Quarter Site of Grace and west from the Academy itself.

- Smarag is sleeping initially, if you’re only here for the Academy Glintstone Key, you can sneak behind it to loot it before dashing away on Torrent.
- Resistant to magic, so magic users want to use physical-based spells such as Rock Sling.
- Smarag will use Sorceries such as Glintstone Cometshard when you’re at range.
- Be wary of Smarag’s Tail Swipe when attacking from behind.
