Liurnia of the Lakes Bosses - Elden Ring Database

Found by using the portal in the far south of Liurnia of the Lakes, Adan lives up to his namesake; namely that most of his attacks are based around using the Incantation Flame of the Fell God and other fire spells. Despite his stature, he is fairly agile and will use a flail to also attack but he is vulnerable to backstabs and parries while using melee attacks. Fire protection is obviously incredibly useful here and because he is human, he can heal himself so be prepared! After you finish him off, you will receive the Flame of the Fell God Incantation.

• Adan, Thief of Fire is imprisoned within the Malefactor’s Evergaol in southern Liurnia of the Lakes. The Evergaol is located high above the landmass so you should approach from the southwest and then travel east to find it.

• Predominantly uses fire attacks so the Firedrake Talisman is especially useful for this fight.
• A very agile opponent for his size - can be parried and backstabbed however, to great effect.
• Drops The Flame of the Fell God Incantation upon defeat.
• Closest Site of Grace: Folly on the Lake or Liurnia Lake Shore

You may have already seen a similar enemy in Limgrave to get the Gravitas skill but this version of the Alabaster Lord can use the Meteorite sorcery as well as swipes with its giant sword. Stay close to it if you can as it will mostly do physical attacks which can be parried or dodged fairly easily. It will still use the odd sorcery skill in melee range so magic protection is helpful. If you move out of range, the Alabaster Lord will plant its sword in the ground and summon meteorites. You will receive the Sorcery for defeating it.

• To reach the Royal Grave Evergaol, you will need to pass through Carian Manor and defeat Royal Knight Loretta. Use the rear exit to reach the road that leads to the Evergaol and then pass through the portal to find the Alabaster Lord.

• Drops the sorcery on defeat.
• Can take advantage of the long casts on Meteorite to attack it. Ranged users can have an easier time.
• Like all Evergaol fights, you cannot use summons or players to help.
• Good magic protection can be helpful.

Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader is by far one of the most challenging bosses in Liurnia of the Lakes, and arguably in Elden Ring. Incredibly agile with an ability to do a potential one-shot kill backstab, you will need powerful protection items to stand a chance. She will dash and dodge in and out, taking powerful jabs with his dagger. At a distance, Alecto can throw a red projectile that is very fast moving and leap forwards with Blood Slash. The best opening to attack is after she jumps so try to get a few quick shots in then. Alecto drops the in defeat.

• To reach the Ringleader’s Evergaol, you will need to travel northwest from the Moonlight Altar Site of Grace, likely found during Ranni’s questline.

• Drops the legendary in defeat.
• Heavy builds may struggle with her agility and run the risk of being one shot from a backstab. Try to dodge attacks until you get a window when she jumps.
• Magic builds can have good success with Adula’s Moonblade or Glintblade Phalanx during the short window after she jumps. This will allow staggers and stamina drain.

Another Bell Bearing Hunter will spawn in as you approach the center of the Church of Vows (located northeast of Raya Lucaria Academy) at night when the tortoise isn’t there. Similar to the one in Limgrave, it is a large, powerful, sword-wielding enemy that can use its sword either as a normal weapon or as a magical conjured sword from a distance. The ranged sword has a long reach and at melee range, he can charge his sword by spinning the blade and unleashing a powerful thrust. He can be parried but to gain a riposte, you must parry him twice. Defeat him to obtain the .

• Found at the Church of Vows north east of Raya Lucaria Academy in Eastern Liurnia. Only spawns at night when the tortoise isn’t there. Rest at the Site of Grace if you need to until around daybreak so the tortoise disappears.

• Incredibly powerful and agile enemy who is hard to stagger and melee users may struggle.
• Can be stunlocked using a Wondrous Physick mix that breaks enemy stance giving time to get hits in.
• Very vulnerable to parry but patience is needed.
• Magic users can attack from a distance as long as they stay out of range of the sword swipes. Riding Torrent can help to avoid the majority of his attacks.

A hidden boss. Unlike the first one you fought in Limgrave, this Black Knife Assassin is much faster and more aggressive. She will use several combos and can dodge with ease so your only opening is really when she leaps in the air and stabs the ground. You can then run around and backstab her while she’s vulnerable. You will receive the Black Knifeprint, and the Assassin’s Cerulean Dagger for killing her.

• This is a secret boss found in the Black Knife Catacombs in the far northeast corner of Liurnia of the Lakes. To find the boss, ride the blades up to the top path and the corridor with Erdtree Burial Watchdog statues. Hit the wall to the west to reveal the fog gate beyond.

• Drops the Black Knifeprint needed for Sorcerer Rogier’s questline.
• Also drops the Assassin’s Cerulean Dagger Talisman for defeating her.
• All members of the Black Knife Assassins are female.
• While agile, she is vulnerable to backstabs and you can get some hits on her during her slam attack where she slams both blades into the ground.

Bloodhound Knight is a boss in Elden Ring, located in the Liurnia of the Lakes region. It shares the same attacks as Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. It is especially weak to Magic attacks like the special attack Transient Moonlight found on the Moonveil katana.

• You can encounter Bloodhound Knight at the Lakeside Crystal Cave in Liurnia of the Lakes. This cave is located in the southwest of the region.

Bloodhound Knights are extremely agile, and they have a lot of sweeping attacks. He’ll often chain some of his attacks back to back. The best way to deal with him is to keep close and be ready to avoid his attacks by rolling through them or to block with a shield. Your best chance to land any hits is when he does his Jumping Slam attack, as you’ll be able to get one or two hits on him depending on your weapon. If you try to make anymore attacks land, you’ll end up trading damage.

Bols is a knight version of a Stonedigger Troll but complete with the Carian Knight Armor set and a giant sword. He will do similar melee attacks, chief among them a massive two-handed sword slam into the ground but he can also use the Greatblade Phalanx sorcery as well. Mostly just stay under his feet and treat him like any other Stonedigger Troll. Bols will drop the sorcery he used as your reward.

The Cuckoo’s Evergaol is found on the path to the north of the Minor Erdtree in the west of Liurnia of the Lakes. Simply run over there and interact with the portal to gain access.

• All Carian Knights are enchanted knights who can wield some level of sorcery.
• Bols wields the sorcery which he will also drop in defeat.
• His moveset is that of the Stonedigger Trolls - large, powerful swings of his sword but with the addition of sorcery. Stay near his feet to avoid most of the attacks.

One of the easier bosses here by itself, Cemetery Shade is found in the Black Knife Catacombs in the northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes. Like the one in Weeping Peninsula, it uses twin daggers in quick combinations and can teleport around the room. This version is also incredibly vulnerable to magic like the other one but does have a few skeleton minions which can make this fight much more difficult than it would normally be. Try to quickly kill the Shade before the skeletons really make life difficult. Your reward for killing it is the .

• Found in Black Knife Catacombs in the north east of Liurnia of the Lakes.

• Has a group of skeletons in the boss room who will attack immediately. Summon Spirits to help deal with the extra aggro or try to burn down the Shade with magic as fast as possible.
• The Shade is quite agile and teleports around the room so melee users may struggle. Buff any weapon you have with magic damage where possible.
• Drops the on defeat.

Found in the far south of Liurnia of the Lakes inside Stillwater Cave, the first thing to note is the large pool of poisoned water in the room. There is a patch of dry land which you can lure it to before you begin. Cleanrot Knight wields both a sword and a pike spear and uses some Sacred Skills, notably one where it scrapes the ground and several golden spears erupt out of the ground. It attacks quite relentlessly but it can be backstabbed. It will drop the Winged Sword Insignia upon death.

• Found inside the Stillwater Cave in the far south of Liurnia of the Lakes.

• The boss room has a poison pool but there is one dry patch of land to fight on. Bring poison cures or resistance.
• Cleanrot Knight can cast holy skills as well as execute swift attacks with its sword and spear. It is aggressive but there are backstab windows available during some casts.
• Drops the Winged Sword Insignia on defeat.

Another Crystalian can be found in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel northeast of Raya Lucaria Academy itself. Like most crystal enemies, the Ringblade Crystalian is very vulnerable to any hammer-type weapons or if a magic user, the Rock Sling sorcery and a Gravitas staff. She will twirl her blade around when in melee range and has a little chakram she will throw at range. Her attacks don’t hurt very much so simply break her guard and defeat her. The Crystalian duo are found as the final bosses of the Academy Crystal Cave just to the west of Raya Lucaria Academy. Alone they aren’t terribly difficult but together they pose a difficult challenge. One thing to note is that they both have a powerful guard which you will need to break either with a heavy weapon like a hammer or the sorcery for magic users. The Staff Crystalian will shoot Glintstone Shards at you but you can use the stone pillars to dodge and the Spear Crystalian typically does several leaping spear thrusts in a row with one twisting spin to finish. Kill Spear first and then Staff. For defeating the pair you will receive the sorcery.

• In the Academy Crystal Cave directly west of the Academy of Raya Lucaria area. Two Stonesword Keys are needed to remove the fog barrier at the entrance.

• Break their poise and they become incredibly vulnerable to damage and will not recover.
• They are weak to magic so exploiting that vulnerability is a must.
• Ideally, summon a tanky spirit like Banished Knight Oleg to help distract one of them while you deal with the other (kill the Spear version first ideally.)
• can be very effective for ranged characters.
• They will drop the sorcery on defeat.

Deathbird returns once again, and this one can be found at night near the Scenic Isle Site of Grace in Lake Liurnia in the southeast. This one is pretty much identical to the ones you likely fought in previous regions with the same pecking attacks and leaping sword slashes. The hardest thing is the enemies around the lake that can make the fight more difficult so take care to remove any before you begin. You will obtain the Red Feathered Branch Sword for killing it.

• At night near the Scenic Isle Site of Grace in Lake Liurnia in the southeast.

• If you’re fighting this as a melee then avoid using horseback as it’s easy to get knocked off.
• The Deathbird is vulnerable to Holy damage, using this should be make short work of it.
• These bosses are much easier as a magic user, you can keep your distance and avoid most of its attacks without hassle.
• When fighting melee, fight under its legs, this will allow you to avoid most attacks outside of its pecks.

Erdtree Avatar (Liurnia of the Lakes - Northeast) is a large, headless Boss creature that looks like a tree stump wielding a large staff. They can be found in various locations where they guard the Minor Erdtrees.

• Northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes, on the raised ground east of the Mausoleum Compound Site of Grace.

• All Erdtree Avatars are weak to Fire.
• You have a large area to fight this Erdtree Avatar so it may be useful to use Torrent here.
• Be wary of the large pots in the area, the Erdtree Avatar can break them with its staff but they may impede your movement until they’re broken.

Erdtree Avatar (Liurnia of the Lakes - Southwest) is a large, headless Boss creature that looks like a tree stump wielding a large staff. They can be found in various locations where they guard the Minor Erdtrees.

• Southwest of Liurnia of the Lakes, south from Revenger’s Shack.

• All Erdtree Avatars are weak to Fire.
• You have a large area to fight this Erdtree Avatar so it may be useful to use Torrent here.
• Be wary of the large pots in the area, the Erdtree Avatar can break them with its staff but they may impede your movement until they’re broken.

The Erdtree Burial Watchdog (Cliffbottom Catacombs) is a recurring boss in Elden Ring. This particular Watchdog has three heads that spews blistering fire.

• You can encounter the Erdtree Burial Watchdog (Cliffbottom Catacombs) at the Cliffbottom Catacombs, located to the northeast of the Liurnia Highway South Site of Grace in eastern Liurnia of the Lakes.

• This Erdtree Burial Watchdog has three heads that will all spew fire at the same time.
• It wields a large staff that it will attempt to use ground pounds against you.
• It’s slower ground pound will cause magic damage in an area of effect around the impact.
• It can cast Glintstone Shards at you, use the pillars to protect yourself from them.

There is a lot of questing needed to summon Glintstone Dragon Adula to the Cathedral of Manus Celes near the Moonlight Altar. If you fought it in the Three Sisters area past Caria Manor, it will reappear here after you have defeated Aztel, Natural Born of the Void in Nokrom. Torrent is essential for this fight. Its frost breath attack will one-shot you but you can use the solid rocks nearby to block the ability. Her other main attack is a conjured sword attack that will deal massive damage and inflict frostbite. If you defeat her, she will drop Adula’s Moonblade, and 3x Dragon Heart!

• Glintstone Dragon Adula is found roaming the center of Three Sisters, a sub-region in northern Liurnia. It does not die here and teleports away at half HP.
• Glintstone Dragon Adula can be found outside the Cathedral of Manus Celes in southwest Liurnia, this time it will actually be killable.

Glintstone Dragon Smarag is a greater boss in Elden Ring, found within the main lake of Liurnia of the Lakes.

• You can encounter Glintstone Dragon Smarag in the center of Liurnia of the Lakes, north from the Temple Quarter Site of Grace and west from the Academy itself.

• Smarag is sleeping initially, if you’re only here for the Academy Glintstone Key, you can sneak behind it to loot it before dashing away on Torrent.
• Resistant to magic, so magic users want to use physical-based spells such as Rock Sling.
• Smarag will use Sorceries such as Glintstone Cometshard when you’re at range.
• Be wary of Smarag’s Tail Swipe when attacking from behind.

This Godskin Noble awaits the Tarnished on the bridge of the Divine Tower of Liurnia. Don’t let the hulking frame of this Noble fool you, its a lot more agile than you may expect.

• You can encounter the Godskin Noble on the bridge that leads to the Divine Tower of Liurnia.

• The Godskin Noble will use Black Flames when you are at a distance.
• It can chain multiple quick sword strikes at once when you’re up close.
• During the second phase, the Godskin Noble will puff out its belly and begin rolling around the arena, knocking down anyone that comes into contact with it.

• South of Bellum Church close to Raya Lucaria Bridge.

• Near the broken Gate Town Bridge on the eastern landmass.

Royal Revenant is a grotesque amalgamation of humanoid and arachnid, with it’s many grafted limbs. The Revenant is aggressive and quick, utilizing its poison attacks to weaken prey. It is extremely weak to the Heal spell, despite the spell having no offensive properties. Royal Revenant can be found in the Kingsrealm Ruins and other locations. This is an optional boss, as players are not required defeat it to advance in Elden Ring.

• Royal Revenant can be found at the Kingsrealm Ruins in northwest Liurnia of the Lakes. It is in a hidden underground location under the ruins. The stairs leading down to this underground area is hidden by an illusory floor in the northwest section of the ruins. Stepping onto the illusory floor dispels it, revealing the stairs.

• Two Royal Revenants can be found in The Shaded Castle as regular enemies.
