Ranni's Dark Moon Sorceries

Description

Ranni’s Dark Moon is part of the Full Moon sorcery school. When cast, it creates a dark moon that floats towards enemies. All sorceries are dispelled if touched by the moon and it will temporarily reduce an enemy’s magic damage resistance.

Location

• Found in the chest at the top of Chelona’s Rise once the seal has been broken.
• Chelona’s Rise can only be unlocked after defeating Astel, Naturalborn of the Void during Ranni’s questline and reaching the Moonlight Altar. The tower is in the far southwest of the Moonlight Altar and is sealed like the others. You must find the spectral turtles once again but they are spread out across the entire plateau area.
• First turtle is found west of the tower hanging off the cliffs so you will need a ranged attack to hit it.
• Second turtle is found in the far east, south of the Lunar Estate Ruins. It is sitting on a rocky ledge below the cliff face so head right to the edge and look down.
• Third turtle is found by heading southeast from the Ringleader’s Evergaol. It is high up in the air and can only be reached by riding Torrent and using the nearby Spiritspring to jump through it.

• Reduces a target’s magic negation by ~30%, 20% more than Rennala’s Full Moon.
• Damage negation lasts for 60 seconds.
• Inflicts cold damage, and will build Frostbite on vulnerable enemies. It is possible it will apply it immediately on enemies with low Frostbite resistance.
• Cancels out any sorcery spells in its path.
• It has an incredibly long cast time so make sure not to be interrupted.
